"We asked Nick to take a look at our living room to give us a quote on having recessed lighting installed. I was impressed by his can-do attitude. I feel like some contractors can be alarmist and exaggerate the complexity of a project (and I've had inflated quotes as a result), but Nick was very approachable, level-headed, and took the time to explain things in a way that I could understand.  I did obtain quotes from 2 other contractors for this project, but I just felt at ease with Nick -- both in terms of having him in my home for a few hours and in terms of his expertise. It took 2-3 weeks to receive his quote -- a bit longer than the other 2 contractors' quotes -- but I was glad that I waited it out. Not only did I have the best impression of Nick initially, but his quote had a slight edge over the competition. Once the quote was in-hand, it was relatively quick and easy to schedule the actual date of service. He arrived with his partner exactly at the planned time. They were a dream team, and finished the project in 3 hours. They left our house cleaner than they found it, and I was surprised at how great the ceiling looked after their work was complete -- literally no damage. I'd definitely schedule Nick for an electric project in the future. <br /> <br />"

"We were very concerned that because the house was older (built in 1920) Giombetti would be forced to knock large holes in the walls in order to complete the wiring, which can be a problem both in repairing the holes, but also in all the dust that would be created from the old horsehair walls.  After the first few days of work, we expected to find large gashes in every room in the house, and were pleasantly surprised to find only small holes, often behind radiators and other areas that were not easily visible.    They were clearly VERY careful to do as minimal amount of damage as possible.  They also had electricians on the job who were obviously familiar with older homes and new all the tricks to get around wiring challenges.  We had a painter walk through for an estimate about half way through the job, and even he commented: "Boy, I've seen some butchers do this kind of work - they are doing a really great job!"  <br /> Throughout the project our project manager Steve kept us well informed and promptly alerted us to any roadblocks they encountered.  I never had a chance to feel any anxiety or worry about how the project was progressing.  And they even came in under estimate.  When we are ready to do some expansions on our home, we will not use any other electrician except Giombetti."

"Derek was very responsive to our inquiry, he came out the following Saturday morning and he was right on time. From having dealt with many contractors...I know this is rare! Derek listened to our "wish list" then he made recommendations of how he could make it happen. Our house is over 100 years old so making upgrades is always a challenge but Derek was experienced and confident in his ability. I originally wanted recessed lights in the stairway of our basement but since the ceiling is under the stairs Derek suggested 1" low profile LED lights that fit in the ceiling space perfectly. He provided all the materials, cleaned up and went over his work with my husband and I to ensure we were happy.
