"If you want to work with someone condescending, rude, confrontational, unprofessional, and whose contractors workmanship is probably the worst I have ever encountered in my 30 years of working with contractors, THIS IS YOUR GUY. I can ramble on about the false promises, the horrible workmanship, the constant delays, the lack of communication, the rude and confrontational text messages. I guarantee Mr. Shank will in fact respond to this review and try to flip the script and blame it all on me somehow. He talks very poorly about all his customers well at least the ones he doesn't like. Not sure what that is based on although I do have some idea what is based on. But he never made anything explicit, so I can't make accusations that he is a racist. So I am definitely not saying he is a racist because he didn't do anything racist. But if he was a racist it would explain why he didn't give two poops about doing good work for multiple projects I provided him. I also have multiple properties and was hoping to make Mr. Shank a lifelong contractor. In a nutshell, he has done 2 projects for me at 2 properties. One was installing a threshold for a glass enclosed shower stall. His crappy sub contractor (they are not employees) despite him saying they are employees, did not install any grouting on the threshold. Fast forward 1 year, and mold is popping up all around the threshold. Rather than dealing with this individual, I hired another contractor to fix up his mess. Second job, and my second mistake, I hired him for a full scale home renovation for around 50K. That project was an absolute disaster. He took 3 months to do what he promised to me verbally would be a 3 week job. I don't really want to spend 1 hour writing down all the crap he did wrong. I'll try so sum up the highlights. Ripped out old flooring, promised to make new flooring level after installing new concrete by using lasers. New flooring is totally not level and as bumpy as walking on your local trail. The shoe moldings around the flooring look like a child installed them. I had to argue with him to get him to regrout the bathroom which was in his contract in the first place. I can go on and on. For sure if you are someone that Mr. Shank likes and match his criteria of what he likes, whatever that could be I have no idea definitely not race related. He may do a great job for you and that may explain the great reviews. I myself had a horrible experience with Mr. Shank and his group of sub contractors who just plain do terrible work. Ignore my review or take it seriously, frankly this guy will keep getting business cause he's a great salesman. Even has a LinkedIN profile to show how professional he is. Epic scammer and fraud. Stay away."

"The real issue with this company lies largely with its owner, William, who is unreliable, unprofessional, and has zero communication skills. You’re pretty lucky if he returns your phone calls after several attempts trying to get in touch with him. Whether you’re calling him for a new or existing project, phone calls and text messages go unanswered unless you raise **** about an issue, and there are many. We recently made a big mistake of rehiring this company to stain the deck, and as usual, it was a nightmare dealing with William from start to end. He forgets what has been agreed to, doesn’t commit to a start date, doesn’t tell you how long it would take to finish the job, and the list goes on. To cite a couple of examples, William promised to buy the stain, and then at the last minute, asked me to buy it because obviously he didn’t have the time to do it. One of his painters turned up on our doorstep on June 1st 2020 saying that William was not answering his phone and he ( the painter) didn’t know what he was supposing to be working on. Additionally, we discussed on more than one occasion that we may need to apply two coats based on the recommendations we received from the manufacturer of the stain we have been using on our deck. We even sent all that information to William in a text message at least two weeks prior, but as usual, he never replied until a day before they started, saying that the quote was based on one coat of stain. Long story short, they did a terrible job, damaged a small tree near the deck with their ladder and had to be kicked out of our property before they finished what has been initially agreed to, to prevent further problems. We will have to hire another company to finish spraying the lattice and to seal the front porch which was part of the work they were supposed to do. They’re banned from our property and we will never ever hire this company again. We tolerated them in the past because they were reasonably priced but it’s not worth it. You get what you pay for. One last thing, given that William and his crew were no longer allowed on our property, we asked him for his mailing address so we can mail a check. William said that his address has changed and did not provide a new mailing address, adding that he “doesn’t take money from customers who are not pleased with the results”. We’re still going to pay him because we don’t want anything for free. He probably thought we will not write a review if he didn’t charge us, but that doesn’t work with us. They get the review that they deserve. We’re planning on sending the check to the mailing address provided on this website. However, If this is incorrect, Angies’s list needs to verify the company’s address to make sure the information provided on this site is accurate and updated. Thank you."

"Despite much back and forth with my HOA over the span of two months, Worgens Painting remaining patient, flexible, and responsive with providing updated quotes. I’ll add that I had four other companies quote labor/materials for staining the deck and fence, along with replacing warped or damaged boards. Worgens quote was fair and reasonable in comparison to the other estimates I received. Worgens painters did an excellent job with the repairs, even patching up areas that were not discussed during the labor estimation process. Additionally, the painters had great attention to detail, applying two layers of high quality stain to the deck and fence. I’m very impressed with the results, and have received compliments from my neighbors as well. I only have one minor complaint that prevents a five star rating. The quote promises that anything removed from the deck will be put back in its original place. This did not happen, and several debris such as residual wood, screws, and old hardware were left scattered throughout the yard. A little more effort to clean up the area upon conclusion of the project would have been appreciated. Again, very minor complaint that does not diminish the quality of their craftsmanship. Overall, I highly recommend Wogens and would hire them again without hesitation."

"Carlos Mosquera and his crew were excellent. They expertly replaced damaged pieces of wood trim and fence, then painted and resealed our trim, doors, fence, and metal railings. The team showed good attention to detail, listened to our feedback, and completed the job in a timely and professional manner. We would definitely work with Carlos again, though we expect his crew's painting will protect our trim for years."

"We hired Wow 1 Day for 2 separate projects and each one was high quality work with professional service and communications. The first was after we had a flood and needed to get our basement painted after water remediation. The second time we use the company to repaint our entire house. They were great helping with color consultations. We let our kids have some say over there rooms but the company was great in helping with that process. They also helped us be selective about trim and doors that didn't need to repainted to keep us on budget. I would recommend this company without reservation."
