"Simply put, SHD Construction did an outstanding job making improvements and repairs to my home. I found Steve and Steve (father/son duo) via Angie’s list and was skeptical of all the great reviews. I found them to be extremely friendly, honest, trustworthy and most important, their workmanship was of a very high caliber. My design skills are lacking and they were both able to help me along the way with great design related suggestions. Additionally, they always left the house very clean. A summary of the work performed was as follows: 1. Complete gut and renovation of master bathroom - This included new lights, installation of exhaust fan, buildout of a separate bath, custom glass shower and radiant heat throughout. All of the electrical, plumbing and tile work was completely remodeled and redone to perfection. 2. Replacement of Trim and Stucco in front of home - My home is an older home and after the full demolition of the master bathroom, we noticed that the exterior wall (front of home) was completely rotted out due to a leak in exterior trim molding that was covered in aluminum. As a result, SHD was able to completely replace the trim in the front of the house and replace the rotted wood. This was a large surface area that needed replacement. SHD was able to complete the job from start to finish including stucco and painting. No more leak! 3. Complete gut and renovation of 2nd floor bathroom - This included complete renovation of bathroom including rerouting of plumbing, new electric, radiant heat, new window and new custom glass shower and shower pan. Upon demolition, it was very apparent that the previous contractors that replaced the shower did a very poor job. All of the floor beams were cut in half and the shower that was installed has a leak that rotted out the entire floor. As this was a hazard, SHD worked on correcting the prior mistakes by replacing all of the beams and rotted wood. As the entire bathroom floor has to be replaced, this resulted in the first floor ceiling also needing to be replaced. The work was done quickly and at the end of the work, the ceiling looked better than it did prior. 4. Removal of though-wall air conditioner and fill in of hole/Sheetrock. Overall, we couldn’t be happier with the end result of the work performed. Both bathrooms exceeded our expectations. We have already recommended SHD to others and would definitely have them in for more work in the future."

"My wife and I purchased a home in desperate need of a refresh and hired Phil and the crew at G&M Construction Group to renovate about 75% of our home including removing load bearing walls, renovating the kitchen, 2 bathrooms, basement, floors and more. First off Phil and his crew are some of the most professional people I’ve worked with.. always on time, seemingly always available, preparing quotes quickly, full in depth explanations.. the list goes on. Equally important, he is incredibly knowledgeable. We had a million questions and concerns and he was there to answer them all. He respectfully steered us away from things that in hindsight would have been a total disaster, but was respectful of the few things we could not budge on. The attention to detail was remarkable. He has a true passion for his work and takes great pride on anything he puts his name on. He always took the time to explain all aspects of the job and work to be done each day. As walls came down Phil inspected every inch of the house of any issues, leaks etc and arranged for everything to be fixed. He even caught things that the “home inspection pros” missed. My wife and I sleep better each night knowing that everything was thoroughly checked out. Also Phil’s network of electricians, plumbers, floor guys were great.. their work was also top notch. Lastly, we listened to Phil’s advice throughout the process and the finished product is truly unbelievable. Everyone that walks into our home is blown away by the craftsmanship, including us each and every day. Phil has a true skill, a wealth of experience, an eye for precise detail, a huge knowledge base, manages his crew efficiently and is overall a great, trustworthy guy to work with each day. "I used this company for a number of years and the overall service is no longer the same. I had them over to clean my gutters and I witnessed ladders slamming against the side of my house and they tore one of the edges from the corner of my roof with their step ladder.
