"We moved from out of state back in October and came to our new to us home with a few surprises. The deck being one. In early Spring we reached out to T&A, with not knowing any contractors in the area etc we were very lucky to find them. Got us on the schedule and assisted us with colors, the process etc. After it was all said and done we were not only absolutely impressed with the staining of our deck but know they are available for so much more. "I hired Jose based on his 5.0 rating, and I regret it deeply. That rating is completely inaccurate, either fake or based on limited jobs. He did a terrible job painting two rooms: no prep work, didn’t sand or prime, paint was dripping everywhere, and now it's already peeling. He painted over wall stickers, cut into the carpet and left the debris stuck to fresh paint, and even got paint on my shower door, faucets, and sink. When I asked him to fix it, he showed up unannounced, became verbally aggressive, and yelled at me after I taped the areas (which he told me to do). He brought an unlicensed helper, and I later learned he's not even licensed in MN, which is required for work like this. This man is unprofessional and deceptive. I paid $1,500 in cash, well above average, expecting professional work. Instead, I got a mess and intimidation. Do not trust the rating. Avoid Jose Gutierrez."

"The Nonhof team was great to work with. Grant was professional and transparent throughout this process and showed a lot of integrity and delivered on everything he said he would. There was a delay because of his dry wall guy who was doing the ceilings and Grant brought in another guy for a quote, but we ultimately decided to wait for the original man because that is who Grant usually uses and he said he does great work and was also cheaper. Grant and his team went above and beyond and did extra patching to make the walls look really nice. He told us what the extra patching would cost, which we agreed to, but he decided not to charge us as a "thank you" for us being patient with the delay which we appreciated. They even put all the switch plate and outlet covers back on for us which we weren't expecting but was also appreciated. The ceilings and paint look great, and I would definitely hire him again."
