"Greg was great! He took a look at the issue and was able to repair a vintage lock mechanism on an old large door of our property. Previously a locksmith we hired came out and claimed that the lock was broken, missing pieces, and had bent parts. I should find a finish carpenter and replace the mechanism - hence I ended up calling Greg. Greg was able to take a look. He was able to reassemble the lock, clean the mechanism, and bring it back to working condition. Greg was very professional and thorough in his work. "I signed the contract 10/23/19 with an expected pick up date by the end of the month. Heard on 10/30 that the transport had broken down and needed repairs. Talked to contact on 10/31 and reviewed alternative arrangements. Second transport option bailed out due to an emergency. Third option discussed. 11/05. I followed up and was told a driver was on the way. Pickup occurred 11/7 and delivery was 11/12. I paid extra for door to door service, but the transport could not navigate the residential streets, so pickup was in a mall parking lot. For the money paid, things could have gone more smoothly. Communication was okay, but given the starts and stops more wold have been better."

"My wife and I hired Matthew Walker of Compass Contracting to replace our windows, a sliding glass patio door, and to replace our deteriorating wood siding with vinyl. The jobsite was kept safe and uncluttered with a thorough clean up at the end of each day. During the demo phase he discovered a severely water damaged section of exterior wall that was next to the chimney, the damage was hidden from the inside by a floor to ceiling interior brick wall. The sheathing and studs literally crumbled in your hands, the reason was an improperly flashed chimney. Matt quickly framed out and replaced about 6-8 feet of our exterior wall, then removed and properly replaced the flashing around the chimney and we were soon weathertight. This and other work not in the original contract were handled quickly, professionally, and most important very reasonably. Matt did a fantastic job and our house looks amazing! About a year or so later my wife and I noticed some water spots on the ceiling around our skylights and we quickly called on Compass Contracting again. The culprit once again was improper flashing covered by tons of silicon. This roof was only about ten years old and obviously whoever put it down did not know what they were doing. It was a very easy decision to have Matt replace the roof and skylights the right way. My wife and I are very confident in Matts knowledge and craftsmanship that we will never again have to worry about water getting into our home. We would highly recommend Matt from Compass Contracting for any remodeling project."
