"As a new customer they helped us through getting signed up and on their schedule for snow removal. Kept us updated via text on the status. Got everything done before we opened the next morning. Will be using them again."

Small jobs welcome

"I have done business with Tim Mack for years and never had a problem. Unfortunately, that changed when I recently asked for some landscaping and pavers for a walkway. We were charged full price for flowers that were half dead. His response was water them and it will be okay. In addition, one of his workers laid down a product called slag against pavers for a walkway. However, the slag seeped through the chain link fence into my neighbor's yard because there was nothing to keep it secured. I don't mind paying full price, but I do mind if I buy something I don't expect to have to bring it back to life. It should have been a fully mature healthy plant when I received it. The slag is just that - sloppy and uneven. I could have done that myself. I called Mr. Mack to let him know the neighbors would like for it to be cleaned up. However, he never followed up with them. I no longer recommend this company and will not use them again either. "

"Wonderful! I was having trouble with my landscape lights and the person on the phone coached me through a few things to check before they sent someone out, and we were able to fix it right on the spot. Very nice of them as it got my problem fixed and I didn't have to pay $125+ just to have someone come out to make an easy fix. Another company I called was going to charge me $199 just to come look at it and then pay more to fix it. Plus the woman on the phone was so nice and friendly and genuinely wanted to help me. In the future when I do need work done, because of this wonderful experience Midwest Lightscapes will definitely be the people I call!"

"Just cancelled my services with SavATree. Although I had great service a previous property, I am completely disappointed with the level of service provided. I've spent over $3000 2023-2024, poor communication and then I am blamed that my Boxwoods are invested "because I didn't call" -even though SavATree has been to my property multiple times. Why pay for expertise that is not accountable?"

"I highly recommend Exotic Pavers! It was such a pleasure to work with Marc and his crew. They are highly professional, knowledgeable, personable, and attentive to our requests, and their work is top-notch. We are thrilled with our patio deck and driveway. Thank you Exotic Pavers! "Mike Condon is a rare find. He artfully tackles restoration jobs that others don't dare to touch, and makes it look so easy. His craftsmanship is impeccable, his prices are very reasonable, and he is a joy to work with. What else can one ask for? He has my highest endorsement and recommendation. The only catch is he is fully booked 6 months to a year in advance. Good luck convincing him to take your job,"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Highland Park, MI

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
