"Prior to these guys saving our property, we foolishly hired an under-qualified contractor to install a large patio and retaining wall system. It turned out to be a never ending nightmare from the start that left us with pooling water everywhere, mud leaking thru walls and stairs that were falling apart. We hired Classical Pavers to hopefully resolve all our issues, and boy did they deliver. These guys are true landscape engineers! They uprooted the previously installed pavers, flawlessly re-pitched and graded the base, planned for all the possible drainige issues that might come up, and completely cleaned the pavers and property of any remnants of their work. I could not be happier with the professionalism of every level of their services. I would absolutely recommend them, and only use them for any and all future projects."

"In a word, D&S does spectacular perfect work. Don and Isaac and their crews are the definition of professionals and experts in their craft of design and execution of hardscape, and good people. We did a complete renovation of our house which entailed 1. the removal of 13 mature trees and visibly gnarly roots; design and installation of: 2 an 800SF patio (after excavating a giant concrete slab), 3. Three walkways, and 4. Drainage, 5. A new paver driveway, 6. A new and expanded front landing, 7. New flower box, 8. Garage drainage and concrete floor enhancement and 9. Lighting. The results are stunning and have enhanced the beauty and functionality of our home into a serene and solid oasis. D&S did a perfect job, on time, for exactly the prices quoted. Further, the individual attention Don in particular paid to me and my family to help us with design and decisions and budget was most appreciated. I give D&S my highest recommendation. Hire them! You'll be completely satisfied and happy!"

"Vinny was great to work with. He had some suggestions and was not pushing to up the price. He did exactly what was disused for the price we discussed. His crew did an excellent job redoing a paver walkway, installing a new retaining wall and a new paver patio that was straight, level and has the perfect pitch for water run off. I would definitely use him again and recommend him to anyone else."

Small jobs welcome

"We hired Jason?s Masonry to install a paver patio around our pool, and we are absolutely thrilled with the results. Jason and his team were professional, skilled, and a pleasure to work with. Their attention to detail showed in every cut and placement. The patio completely transformed our backyard?it?s not only beautiful but also extremely well-built. They made sure everything was level, well-drained, and done right. One thing we especially appreciated was how they created a seamless transition between our existing walkway and the new patio?it blends perfectly, like it was always meant to be there. The team worked efficiently, kept things tidy, and communicated with us every step of the way. Our pool area now feels like a resort, and we?ve gotten tons of compliments. If you?re upgrading your outdoor space, we highly recommend Jason?s Masonry. You won?t be disappointed!"

"We are happy with the results of this project. Nick met with us initially and meticulously reviewed our "wish list "and preferences, explaining all of the steps we could anticipate for the entire installation process. , the quality of the siding materials, type of windows and French doors etc. As soon as materials were delivered to the property, work began and continued in spite of very severe winter weather. Nick was always available to answer questions and provide updates. Louis, the on site supervisor was knowledgeable and kept the project moving along swiftly. This is our second time using American Home Remodeling as several years ago they replaced our roof so we had confidence in the company going in. Our house looks great and friends and neighbors have commented on the terrific "makeover". !"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Highland Park, NJ

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
