"While I was interviewing roofing contractors to reroof my hail damaged roofs, my son mentioned that I should also consider meeting with Advanced Roofing and Construction, based on his recent experience with them, and I am glad that I did, for the reasons that follow. I highly recommend Advanced Roofing & Construction for the excellent job they did on the replacement of my hail damaged home and standalone garage roofs. In particular, I commend them for their knowledge and expertise related to the requirements and process to achieve a Fortified High Wind & Hail Impact Resistant roof meeting Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) standards. Having this certification allowed me to obtain a significant reduction on my Home Owners Insurance policy. Working with Advanced Roofing was much easier than I expected, considering the specialized nature of the High Wind & Hail Resistant asphalt roofs they installed. The Owner was very involved in the process for the more complicated aspects, and he gave me a good comfort level that he and his team knew what they were doing and how they would meet IBHS Fortified Roof requirements. Another aspect of this project that I very much liked, was not having to turn-off my A/C during the reroofing process, as other roofing contractors required, using Advanced Roofing’s innovative approach. Considering the unusually hot summer we experienced, this was a huge blessing. Onsite supervision of the work crews and work processes were essential to me. I did not have to involve myself directly with the roofers, as I had seen with my neighbors and their roofing contractors. The onsite supervision was excellent and very responsive to my concerns. They kept my yard (worksite), safe and clean. My questions and comments were followed-up and followed-through in a timely manner. The entire work process was well organized and the work teams were very professional and courteous throughout the reroofing process. They cleaned up the work debris concurrent with the deroofing and reroofing processes and ran magnets throughout the work area to retrieve nails and screws and other metal debris ongoing throughout the project. "Eric and his team at A-1 did a great job, exactly as promised on time and dollar estimate. They removed the guards, cleaned several inches of gunk from the gutters, cleaned everything on roof and ground. Will definitely go them for all manor of gutter cleaning, repair or replacement. Tom Kahlert"

"They did a very good job with the roof and the addition that came off the house and covered the deck. The only reason I gave them a B rating for quality instead of an A has to do with the finishing touches on the addition. All around the house the soffit fascia is covered in white sheet metal. When they finished the addition, which follows the roof line of the back of the house. They left it with bare, untreated wood. They don't use treated lumber because it reacts with the metal roofing and some corrosion may result. That's fine, but they should have at least covered it so that it tied in with the rest of the roof line. As we did our final inspection, I asked about the wood being treated and he explained why they don't use it. I said " so I guess I'll have to cover it?" He said that I would. I was leaving town on business in a couple days and had a lot going on, so I guess I just didn't think to put my foot down and insist they do it. Here in Mobile, Alabama we are the wettest city in the nation. We get more annual rainfall than Seattle, and it's humid. Wood rot happens.I went and bought some Thompson's Water Seal, and some sheet metal and took care of it myself. I have some pictures, but I don't see how to post them on this review page. The workers were very polite and cleaned up very well each day.

"Pro Building handled my niece's insurance claim. She had severe water damage to her house from a HVAC unit malfunction. I referred them to Pro Building because they did work for me before and did a great job for me. Pro Building and their exceptional team came in and not only dried out the property but also moved them out and put them into temporary housing (billed the carrier-not my niece). They took care of everything with the carrier and were able to get everything paid for with them only owing their deductible ($1,000). When I tell you this house turned out incredible, I mean it! They did such a great job! They went above and beyond to help in every way! 10/10 would refer them to anyone needing any kind of insurance claim!"

"The personnel working the project were  the most professional, courteous, and efficient we have ever used.  The entire job took about 3 days.  They cleaned up after them selves as they completed portions of the work and the supervisors inspected our property every evening before they quit.  Additionally, the took down, painted the 20-plus storm windows a matching color, and reinstalled each storm window.  All in all, they did an outstanding job and I would recommend them for any outside painting job.

"The contractor showed up on time and cleaned the chimney, as well as inspected the interior and exterior of the chimney. He found a whole in the chimney that needed to be patched, and recommended we install a flue valve to help with water penetration and heat loss. We agreed to the repairs and he said he would give us a call when he returned to the office. We waited about two weeks but never heard back. Call the office and was told that they had been without a receptionist for about a month, and that was why no one called to set up repairs. The lady on the phone was nice, but said she wasn't at her computer and would have to call me back. We've been wanting to get these repairs done quickly, and have now opted to go elsewhere.
