Customers say: Super punctual

"Billy Howe and Daygig Painting did an excellent job painting the outside of my house. They arrived on schedule, were professional and thorough. Billy worked well with my POA getting approval of the colors I wanted to use. He had a team of carpenters that were able to replace a privacy fence that was falling over from wood rot. They did all the work in a reasonable time and for a reasonable price. They cleaned up every day before they left. I will definitely be using them again."

"Ofelio did great work. I really appreciated that he identified and performed needed repairs requiring carpentry skills in addition to painting. Definitely a quality job and completed on time and within budget."

Small jobs welcome

"Cheryl's Painting and Power Washing did an amazing job on our home. Dwayne and Terry painted all interior walls upstairs and downstairs with accent walls included. If any issues big or small came up we were notified right away. They were very flexible with our schedules and respectful of our home. They were able to get everything wrapped up before the arrival of our new baby. My husband and I were amazed by their customer service and professionalism... My kids took a liking to them too :) We originally were going to tackle this painting job ourselves but I'm so glad I hired Cheryl's company because it was so much faster and stress-free."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Hilton Head Island, SC

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
