"Greg was great! He took a look at the issue and was able to repair a vintage lock mechanism on an old large door of our property. Previously a locksmith we hired came out and claimed that the lock was broken, missing pieces, and had bent parts. I should find a finish carpenter and replace the mechanism - hence I ended up calling Greg. Greg was able to take a look. He was able to reassemble the lock, clean the mechanism, and bring it back to working condition. Greg was very professional and thorough in his work. I will be looking forward to using him on other projects."

I had a handyman do some repairs at least four times and the problem kept returning in the driving rain. Matt retuned my call promptly and arrived on time. He examined the problem, which he said was minor - so minor that he did not charge me. I will not know if what he did has solved the problem until there is another storm, but I am very impressed with the fact that he could have charged something for doing a repair, albeit very minor.. He clearly separated things that were important to do from things that were less important, and that allowed me to schedule a few repairs and fix-ups/maintenance jobs in good weather. For one or two maintenance activities where I was considering a pretty costly replacement or repair, he suggested ways to tackle them that turned out to be much less expensive and complicated. His background in construction gives him great ability to distinguish situations that may have some structural significance from those that only require some cosmetic improvement.
