"I bought a condo that had popcorn ceilings that were painted a cream color. I decided to paint them white. I saw Five Star Painting at our local home show. I schedule a free quote online which was super easy. I got the quote within a day. I scheduled within 2 days getting the quote and had what felt like brand new ceilings in a week. It was a very smooth process. The workers were on time and professional."

"They were very professional they painted my entire 2500 sqf home on spring lake. They sprayed the trim and itâ s beautiful! Not only did they do an amazing job and keep us updated throughout the entire job at the end of the job after we paid our bill they gave us a personalized gift basket which Iâ ve never gotten from a company Iâ ve hired before. It was really cool and let me know they actually care about there customers. We will be using them again on any and all projects we need done!"

"We hired K&M Building Services to paint the walls of our garage. Martin came out to give us a free estimate (which was better than two other estimates we had already received) and was able to schedule our project just three days later. Martin and his team worked quickly and did a wonderful job! The garage looks great. They even identified some unexpected damaged spots in the drywall and for an affordable price patched those areas and came back the next day to finish painting. I would highly recommend K&M!"

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Holland, MI

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
