"It’s been a few months since Ron completed our patio. I usually don’t leave reviews. I am a perfectionist that changes my mind and I know that can be tough to accommodate. Ron was terrific and exceeded my expectations. Our patio is incredibly beautiful. As a perfectionist I do have to point out the cutting of the curved stones was not exact but you cannot notice unless you are sitting on the wall. I will definitely work with him again. Great with kids and difficult customers!!!"

"Steve and his crew did an excellent job installing new wooden steps and a sidewalk made of pavers. He showed great attention to detail and made sure everything was completed to a high standard of quality. The deck turned out really well, he did an excellent job adapting to issues that came up to produce a deck that we are very happy with."

"It was a pleasure to work with both Sean Barry and Nick Shiffler of Hewitt-Young Electric on this project. We had a large and specialized project, replacing our entire 156 slip marina's electric service both on shore and under the docks. Hewitt-Young completely met all of our expectations. Their crew arrived on time every day, worked hard and were always respectful. There was always a supervisor on-site and if we ran into a problem, H-Y's project manager, Sean Barry promptly visited the site and resolved the problem. They were aware of both our timeline and budget and completed the project within both."

"Terrible! We wanted a comprehensive service. Spring cleanup, mulching beds, weeding, edging, lawn treatments, hedge trimming, fall cleanup. Everything except lawn mowing (which they don't do). The price was high, but I signed up so that everything would be taken care of. It seemed like every few weeks we would run into something that "wasn't in the contract, but they would be happy to do for an additional cost". Right now I'm looking out at my lawn full of leaves. Apparently, raking/blowing the leaves isn't included in the "fall cleanup". But they will be happy to do it for another $500 (on top of the $5,000 I'm already paying for "comprehensive service"). They never answer the phone, and don't return phone calls. One department doesn't speak to the other. So we got a call from the lawn treatment team telling us they can't treat the lawn until the leaves are removed, so we called to ask when the leaves will be removed from the lawn. They gave us a date, but no one showed up. We call several times over the course of several weeks, and finally get a team out, but they end up cleaning only the beds, not the lawn. When we ask why we were told they would be cleaning the lawn, we get the run around. The treatment team often showed up on rainy days, so I doubt the lawn got much fertilizer. We told them we wanted some new rhododendrons (happy to pay extra for this, of course), and they never asked me what type of rhododendrons to plant. Instead one day I just found we had new bushes, which weren't what I had in mind (they have small leaves instead of the large leaf ones, and I have no idea what color flowers. I guess I'll find out next spring). They left no instructions for care of the new bushes. My lawn has NEVER looked worse. They filled some low spots on the lawn with topsoil (again, an extra charge for that even though it was just a few spots), and we ended up with an infestation of nutsedge. We had never had nutsedge before, so I'm pretty sure it came in with their topsoil. They were happy to charge me extra to treat it for nutsedge (I ended up doing it myself). I have seldom had such a horrible experience with a service provider."

"I have spent thousands of dollars on their services. The patio they installed left the plastic edging loose, so now the pavers are moving laterally. Asked for help and got a proposal for 1300 to correct their in proper installation. Would not recommend. They do not stand behind their expensive work"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Holley, NY

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
