Healthy Home Restoration was established in Cary NC in 2004. HHR has specialized in solving complex problems in crawlspaces related to humidity, pest and mold and is considered the top company in the Triangle area for crawlspace problem resolution and energy evaluation/improvements. Over time sealed and conditioned crawlspaces became the preferred method for constructing crawlspaces under homes. The process of conditioning a crawlspace is so successful it created an entire new industry. As a leader in the industry we pride ourselves in providing a large variety of products to fit our clients individual needs. "I recently had "out of control" mold issues in the furnace room in my basement. My son and I were both suffering respiratory issues, so it had to be resolved. I brought in a company to test for mold, and ended up hiring them for remediation. When it came to "What do I do now to prevent this in the future?" they were not able to help me. After a search through ND, I came up with the names of several companies, and had all 4 out for a quote. Each person who came told me something different, some of them completely contradictory. (Ex: "There's standing water in that space" vs. "There's no water problem there, it's completely dry" given two days apart.) I came back to ND and did some more searching. This time I noticed one company came up with glowing recommendations over and over again - Healthy Home Restoration. Dennis, the owner, has a real understanding of indoor air quality issues (finally!) and came up with a proposal to encapsulate the space, add some ductwork into the unfinished workspace and put dehumidifiers in both the furnace area and workroom. (Rest of the basement is finished, with standard HVAC duct work.) The team came out and did a fantastic job. I highly recommend them! Had I known they could have done the entire job, including the part the first company did to remediate the problem, I would have hired them first. They are the best of the best!"

He called me the day of my request and was at my house a couple days later to work up the quote. His quote was reasonable and he let us know he would be able to do the job within a week. It is quite rare these days to have anyone in the service industry do anything in a timely manner. Eric had the job completed within 10 days of our initial conversation. Very impressive!! His job was thorough and quite impressive. I recommend him to anyone that is interested in landscaping service in the Roanoke Valley area."

"I went with Tarheel Basement Systems to have my crawlspace encapsulated. I liked the Sean Madden gave but I have to admit the follow up was spotty. I was given dates work would be done but I had to call to find out exact times. I expected a little more communication but, in the end, Tarheel showed up when they said they would, and they did the work they promised. Macai and Fred did a great job encapsulating the crawlspace. I'm pretty picky and I went down and inspected things myself. There is no way I could have done a good a job as they did. The work these guys do is grueling in unsavory conditions. I had a small issue with the crawlspace door and dehumidifier pump, but both were fixed in short order. In the end I'm happy with how things turned out and I would recommend Tarheel to anyone looking to get their crawlspace encapsulated."
