"My best to Sara’s Landscaping - Jose and his team! This was a difficult job as our property was overgrown! Jose started by trimming branches and cutting two large trees back from the roof and away from the house. Next, we had a large area covered in overgrown shrubbery/weeds and other small trees on one side of the property. Jose and his team removed everything and landscaped with new mulch, plants, and shrubs.....and now that area looks beautiful! They also removed 10 large dead and or dying shrubs from the front of the house and replaced with new mulch and beautiful Boxwoods. Additionally, he trimmed multiple overgrown Barberry and Burning Bush shrubs to a more appropriate size, and then weeded and mulched in that area as well. Lastly, a new drainage system was installed (including digging the drainage ditch) to carry water away from the house that gets pumped out via sump-pump and from the rain gutters. Overall, we are extremely pleased! Jose came with many solutions for this very difficulty job and completed the work quickly! The price was very competitive! We highly recommend Sara’s Landscaping!!!! Thank you :-))"

"Mike is a true professional.  He has been doing this kind of work for a number of years and it was obvious he knew his work once he began.  He works with one other employee and both of them were diligent in starting and completing the work.  I built the original wall and it took me about 2 months, and it the end it was a work I would not ever do again by myself, considering the engineering required and the liftng of blocks. <br />"

"The cons: Punctuality. Day 1. They called me an hour after they were supposed to be there because the Foreman had a family issue. OK, I understand. Day 2. Perfectly Sunny Day, 88 degrees. They no-called, no-showed. When I called them, they cancelled due to the weather. Then the Foreman calls me personally to tell me that they didn't get the parts in. Grrrrrrrrrrrr!!!! The pros: The job was done right the first time. It's been about 6 months with a few heavy storms and some snow, and there have been no leaks or other issues. Also, the exhaust pipe came out of the house on one of the seams, and they had trouble get the boot to look nice, but they worked until I was satisfied. I will take a punctuality issue over a leaky roof any day :-) Over all, Job Well Done!!!"

"Over the past couple of months Donald Pell Gardens performed 2 projects for us. Don Pell met with us, discussed our needs and ideas, then prepared rough conceptual design sketches and cost estimates for the projects, and met with us again to go over the designs. We immediately gave the go-ahead for the slope landscaping, which turned out great. It met the functional need for allowing us a safe way down the slope on the beautiful natural steps, while greatly enhancing the aesthetic appeal of that section of the yard with the beautiful new garden. The first project turned out so well, we contacted Don about the patio. We wanted to have it installed, but the original estimate was above our budget. After talking it over with us, Don revised the design, bringing the cost down to our budget. After a week of painstaking work by dedicated workers, the patio is done and like the previous project, it has exceeded our expectations. Needless to say, we are very pleased with both projects."

"Showed up promptly for an estimate. Had the best estimate of three companies. All companies were doing the the same work of removal of old driveway; add a six to seven inch base of 2A stone; 3and quot; base coat asphalt and 2and quot; inch top coat of asphalt. They started the work within 2 days of given the job. It was to be a one day job but it turned into three days due to having to dig out more of the base of the old driveway due to it having a sand base. All went well and the finished job looks very nice. <br />"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Honesdale, PA

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
