"I called Al Baccile Paving to get a quote on a new driveway.  I had planned on removing my existing asphalt driveway and replacing it.  After talking to Al, I changed my mind.  Al said he thought I'd end up with a better driveway if I paved over the existing asphalt, which was in fairly good shape.  He said ripping out the old driveway would make more money for him, but he thought the final product wouldn't be as solid.  He was in the process of doing my neighbor's driveway, so he gave me a quote the next day.  I thought the quote was reasonable and I thought he did a good job at my neighbor's house, so I signed the agreement.  I didn't know when I would get on his schedule, since it was summertime.  As luck would have it, Al called me about four weeks later, while I was out of town on vacation.  However, a few days after I got back from vacation, Al called again and wanted to start my job the next day, so I agreed.   <br /> He and his crew arrived promptly when promised.  They wasted no time getting to work, first leveling my existing driveway with more fill, then removing a basketball net and shrub next to the driveway, since they were adding a 6-foot "apron" on that side.  He had six people working, and none of them ever seemed idle - his crew was like a well-oiled machine!  They finished excavating where the apron was going, then put down the new asphalt.  They were done in about 3 1/2 hours, when I had expected them to take most of the day.   They did a great job blending the new asphalt with my existing concrete sidewalks and the street.  The end result was excellent!   <br /> Al recommended I keep vehicles off the new driveway for a few days, which I did, and to water it daily, which I also did.  He also recommended sealcoating it in the spring.  We've now been parking on it for a couple of weeks and it still looks great. <br /> I recommend Al to anyone in the area.  He has a good reputation and it seems well-deserved.  My only criticism is that I didn't know when my job would be scheduled, and I found out at the last minute when he was ready to do it. Other than that, no complaints! <br /> <br />"

"Very good came out for the estimate week later sent me my estimate. Came out the day he said he would start and stayed on the job touch base with us each day and was very polite. Cleaned up after each day of work. Work was done I belive to quick. There was some cosmetic things that was left that were over looked and that were left for me to take care of but can be fixed. "Affordable waterproofing did work on our house for the previous owner.  They finished the job leaving holes in the outside wall at ground level - leaving water to enter into the basement walls.  They told us this was done by request of the previous owner.   <br /> <br /> We called them to come back to fix this and add window wells.  They seemed very cordial and responsive.  The day the job was scheduled they never showed.  I called them and they apologized and blamed it on miscommunication.  The job was rescheduled and they still did not show up.  <br /> <br /> After this add was posted they showed up at our house unannounced.  They completed the job.  Fixing the holes at no additional cost, thereby, sticking to their warranty."

"The owner (the original founder, I think) came promptly, and was clearly very seasoned and knowledgeable.  He was straight forward about what he thought should be done, what areas needed more or less work, and alternative options. We hired based on a recommendation from another businessman that this outfit was known for the best quality - and a commensurately higher price.  That is exactly what we got.  They did an excellent job and cleaned up well afterwards.  They had good equipment. <br /> The only negative is that the job took about 2 months to start after we agreed on the contract.  They claimed that the problem was related to a dependency on getting the road oil from the State. not sure about that,  but we weren't in a rush so we didn't mind much.  <br /> <br /> <br />"

"This referral came from the Elmira City Public Works when I called them seeking sidewalk contractors.  Richard Voorhees, the contractor was very professional, he explained my options and gave me a reasonable estimate for the job.  He assured me the world would be done in accordance with Elmira City guidelines and new sidewalks would not be put in until the city inspected the preparations and gave a go-ahead. <br /> The work began shortly after I signed and returned the written estimate.  The crew work long days removing sidewalk blocks and always cleaned up as they went along.  The worksite was marked off with cones at the end of the day and the workers came back daily and continued until the job was completed.  My compliments to the quality of work and the length of time it took. <br /> I am very satisfied, and would recommend this contractor for sidewalk replacement and blacktop resurfacing, it was a pleasure to do business with them. <br />"
