Customers say: Quick response

"Marlon and his team were very thorough and professional. They actually got our job done sooner than expected. We were worried because they don’t make our exact brick anymore; however, we were presently surprised at how the finished product turned out. It looks amazing! We would hire him again."

"Tuckpointing job was extensive and involved flagstone/limestone front walk, front porch, stone rear patio, steps and wall. Mortar removed, stones replaced as necessary, and all areas tuckpointed. Overall, the quality of the work exceeded expectations. Of importance, the crew worked on a daily basis until the job was complete. They were self disciplined and appeared to take pride in their work. As a consequence, we have a very good result, and are pleased with the outcome."

"My roofer determined my water leaks were from my chimneys needing tuck pointing. Steve inspected my flat roof house for reasons why I had water leaking inside after a major rain event. I had water running down a wall on the second floor, on the ceiling near the exterior wall and water on my basement floor that came through the stone foundation. He was able to complete the major part of the job before we had another rain. He and his brothers removed all debris and cleaned up the area. It took two and a half days to tuck point and to seal the foundation at the ground. Steve and his brothers were very easy to work with. There was a coupon on Angie?s List that I used to reduce my bill."

"Removed brick veneer from one section of our house and installed in another area. They installed stone top caps on a brick half wall across the entire front of our house and white washed brick. They also repaired our brick chimney and brick HVAC exhaust stack."

FAQs for brick or stone tuck pointing projects in House Springs, MO

Masons charge between $70 and $110 per hour. A mason may have a minimum service fee ranging from $80 to $300. Most bricklayers offer free estimates and charge only if you proceed with the project. This clear pricing model assures that professionals inspect your property before beginning work and charge based on your project’s actual requirements.

A professional repointing lasts 20 to 30 years without maintenance and extends up to 50 years when maintained diligently. This process protects your brickwork using high-quality materials that ensure lasting performance and durability. Consistent upkeep preserves its strength and appearance, providing enduring protection and enhancing your home’s overall structural integrity for decades.

You know your house needs repointing when you notice clear signs such as cracked, flaking, or missing mortar and visible discoloration on the brick surfaces. Additional indicators include loose bricks, water damage, and gaps between the brick joints that compromise the overall integrity of the structure. Addressing these issues promptly protects your investment and sustains the durability and curb appeal of your home.

A house needs repointing to preserve both its structural integrity and visual appeal. Mortar acts as a vital bonding agent that holds the bricks securely together. When the mortar deteriorates, it exposes the structure to water infiltration and further decay, increasing the risk of costly repairs. Repointing stops decay and reinforces the exterior, ensuring long-term protection.
