"Gleyson was extremely personable and responsive, and his team incredibly hard working. I initially chose to hire Vellox over other contractors we had come out because Gleyson was the *only* one out of 5 who actually climbed up on the roof to check it out. Everyone else just stood on the street corner 50 yards away and eyeballed it. Maybe, as an expert, that’s all you need to do, but Gleyson certainly gave me a lot more confidence with his approach. Throughout the process, Gleyson was almost always near-immediately responsive, and also very understanding when we temporarily thought we’d have to delay work to deal with another issue first. I don’t even really expect ultra-prompt replies, but I don’t think I ever waited more than an hour for a response on any inquiry. The day of work, Gleyson and his team arrived promptly at 7am, and had the entirety of the work done within a single day - ripping off multiple layers of old roof, installing a new one, and adding vents/flashing throughout. Obviously, it’s a little early too early to accurately assess the workmanship, but you get the sense Gleyson takes a great deal of pride in his work and genuinely wants to do a great job - which was not the sense I picked up from other contractors - so I feel confident the roof will be as good as advertised. Two small negative marks: 1.) After paying a sizable deposit and being given an estimated start date, it took way longer than expected to receive shingle samples, and by the time we received them, we’d already surpassed the initial start date we’d set. I wouldn’t have minded simply being told they were going to get started later than anticipated or that he wasn’t going to make a drop off as expected. As it was, it made me a little uneasy that I’d handed over a sizable check and suddenly everything halted. 2.) With an older house, we didn’t have plywood sheet decking; just 1x12 planks with gaps between them. During the tear-off process, a ton of debris fell into the attic. Clean-up wasn’t a huge deal, but a little Googling around seems like this is a fairly common problem. Would’ve been good to get some warning on this just so we could at least cover up our belongings to shield them. Overall though, extremely pleased and would recommend Gleyson/Vellox’s services to anyone."

"This is the second time I use Vaillancourt Roofing, and they have always been exceptionally professional. Brad Entrekin, the salesperson I have always dealt with is wonderful: knowledgeable, patient, punctual. So have been the team that does the work. In this specific case, Nick and Jay did the installation of the gutters. Their work is impeccable. They are very respectful yet friendly. If I was doing gutters I would do all possible to get the Nick and Jay tea However, in order to reach them you would have to go through the scheduler. I understand that the schedule is necessary in order to make the best use of the resources possible however, that has to be tempered with the needs of the client. Case on point, day before the installation date I was informed that the installation had been cancelled "because one of the installers was sick" and the work was rescheduled for 12 days later. I spoke to the scheduler and he had no interest in whether I would be available, convenience or any other consideration of what the effect of the change could have on MY schedule. I just had to understand that people get sick. That is - an administrative problem of the company was suddenly on my shoulders. This gentleman is extremely rigid and unsympathetic. Chances are that the job could not be done before but a gentler approach with the client will take him a long way. In addition, his attitude really erodes the exceptional work of the field salespeople. It is then left on the shoulders of the installers, to fix with the client what the installer undid. Once again, Vaillancourt has, in my estimation, first class materials to offer, a splendid salesperson in Brad, and an impeccable installation team with Nick and Jay. So, go for it. More likely than not, you will not have to deal with the scheduler."

"I had a leak that can be seen from a ceiling. Called several roofing companies and got no reply back. Used home advisor and have Andrea called me and scheduled the visit promptly for Freddy to come and check the leak. Freddy was very professional, identified the leak that was due to improper seal of one of the skylights and fixed it right away. He also checked my other skylights and some had the same problem which he fixed. Freddy checked my roof for issues and provided tips for maintenance so it can last long. Definitely will recommend Global Home Improvement, Inc as a honest and very professional company !"

"Well, I knew it was time for a new roof. Based on its age and just looking at it, I knew it. I had put off this decision for quite a while now, but yes, now was the time to finally invest in a new roof. Would I rather spend the money on a Hawaiian vacation or perhaps a new Zero Turn Lawnmower yard toy? Maybe, but if I am thinking clearly and correctly, not really! I knew a great roof replacement would add great protection not only for the home, but for me and my loved ones. It provides peace of mind, dynamic curb appeal, and one less big worry. When looking for a new roof, I’m sure like a lot of you have or are doing, I checked around a bit and chatted with a couple of neighbors, family, and friends. I just wasn’t satisfied with the cousin’s son-in-law’s brother’s friend who can do it over a number of weekends mentality. After speaking with him, I was confident about their services and capabilities, the materials, and the process, steps and timeline for the job. I also felt that the project cost was very competitive, reasonable, and fair. From contract to materials delivery to house prep and to the completed roof and cleanup, the project went along quite smoothly. I am very pleased with my new roof. I really am and I would like to publicly thank Jim, Elias, Sean, Samantha, and the whole crew. "I had a roof replaced on m detached garage including all wood. Also had a small flat roof replaced. Both were in bad shape and for the flat roof that I had to redo the joists and outer wood. I have used them twice now and in both cases they were very responsive to phone calls and was able to schedule both jobs very quickly. In both cases they took their time to make sure the underlying surface/wood was replaced and fixed prior to roofing."

"We hired Karales Home Improvement to install a new asphalt shingle roof on our 1950s ranch house in Norwood. We had met with other contractors and obtained additional estimates. We had also done our own research, and Mike Karalesâ estimate matched our expectations and our budget. On completion of the project there were no additional unexpected costs. Before we hired him, Mike answered all of our questions quite satisfactorily and readily provided additional documentation we requested. We knew to be careful because we had been burned in the past and lost money to a dishonest contractor after trusting word of mouth recommendations. "Selection of this contractor went smoothly from start to finish. Estimate was considerably less than another contractor using the same CertainTeed roofing system. I do not select on cost alone. I got quotes from 3 other companies. Normal estimate was using the Landmark Pro shingles, also was given estimate for the Landmark shingles when I mentioned budget constraints and my longevity, I’m a senior citizen. Left me info on the CertainTeed system materials and installation. When I decided on the Landmark did not try to convince me to rethink choosing Landmark Pro. On date of install they arrived around 7:15 but said they wouldn’t begin work until 8 so not to disturb neighbors. Considerate, I live in a over 55 development. They worked quickly and professionally, first hanging tarps to collect debris and stripping roof. Crew moved along quickly. Needed to replace some decking around vents,which they did at no up charge. Owner, Luis Castro, stopped by from another job to check work even going up on roof to inspect. Left me his card and told me to call with questions or concerns. Cleanup was amazing. Left my property as if they never were here! This was one concern as other roofer,s doing work in neighborhood have left blown debris and nails in street. They did not. Debris that was wind blown into neighbors yard was retrieved. Also in quote was to reroof shed and install gutters and downspouts at front of house. Shingles were underestimated including shed so they applied the DiamondDeck underlayment and drip edge and were back next non rain day to finish shed. I was amazed at the proficiency and speed work was completed. I highly recommend this company and already have to a neighbor. Very professional, supervisor answered any questions I asked, courteous and treated my job as if it was their own. Crew was very proficient. Owner should be proud. I was satisfied with all aspects of project."

"- Very prompt, professional service delivered at a great price on our Newton expanded bungalow. - Owner, Brian (in business for 25 yrs) assessed/priced job and, with on-site job supervisor, was available at every stage of job completion. - I requested 4 references which Brian gave me at random but said he doesn't call former customers in advance of such requests so wasn't sure if I'd get call backs. All 4 references DID return my calls and all raved about Roofer's Edge/Siding work and value. - Also, work crew included professional women which I appreciated. - Policy is payment at the end of the job when customer is satisfied. - Will definitely use again for siding and or windows given this roofing experience."
