"I noticed a leak in my kitchen on Sunday: (1) on Monday the roofer informed me that the leak was under one of my solar panels, (2) I was informed by the panel installer that they were backed up for about six months and could not service me; however they did inform me that I could notify other certified companies in my area, and recommended one of their partnering companies in South Carolina, (3) I contacted the company and was very disappointed to discover it could not remove one panel and would have to charge me an astronomical price for the job, (4) in the meantime, the installer notified me that it could work me in but I would have to sign a contract which stated in their standard language that the job would be completed within 3 to 6 months, even though verbally the Representative said they could work me in their schedule sometimes the next week, (5) very reluctantly I refused to sign the contract because of this language and the uncertainty of the panel being removed ASAP so that my roof could be repaired; (6) on Wednesday, I decided to Google solar panel companies in my zip code area through Home Advisors, (7) I contacted Advanced Solar (Scott Johnson) who came out and removed the panel that same Wednesday evening (A) without me having to leave work as part of taking the job and (B) speaking with the roofing contractor for appropriate information needed, (8) work was completed on my roof and kitchen ceiling by that Friday, and (9) the panel was reinstalled on Saturday. I was afraid not to sign the contract because of uncertainty about how long it would take me to get someone to remove the panel; however, I am so glad that, because of the exceptional commitment in such a timely manner of Advanced Solar, I am a very happy consumer and will continue to do business with it, should the need arise again!
