We had a small section of our vinyl floor cut out by our previous owners to install a wooden railing. The only hiccup we had was in choosing the stain color, as the tint we planned to use didn´t look the same on our wood as it had in photos of previous work they had done. This required a couple of trips back to the store by the foreman to buy alternative samples. I recommend visiting a hardwood flooring store or Home Depot to pick a tint, rather than relying on just reviewing their Instagram feed."
