"THE GOOD   The interview went very well. I had a list of questions as to how the work would be performed and Mike answered the questions with confidence in every part of the job. After talking to him I felt comfortable believing the job would be done correctly.  We talked about materials and agreed on a price that was comparable to other bids. I told him I was not in a hurry. A different contractor said it would be 6 weeks so I guess in my mind I thought work would start in about that time frame. To be fair, Mike never gave me a start date.  This all happened in the middle of May.
 THE BAD   It took a week before we picked shingle brand and color and I paid an $8000 payment. 2 large pallets of materials arrived in the first week of June. The next communication with Mike was the last week of June with him saying the weather had slowed him down.The next contact was the middle of July. Mike said it would be a little longer. I contacted him again at the end of August and he said he was heading my way soon. I contacted him middle of Sept. and was told 2 weeks weather permitting. After 2 weeks Mike texted me saying it would be longer.  I replied with concerns about the material being on pallets in my yard for 4 months and gave him 3 weeks to start work or refund my payment minus material costs. He replied he had the permit and would start work the first week of Oct. Dumpster arrived on a Monday 8 days later. Some wood was dropped off on Friday. Work started the next Friday.
 MORE GOOD   Once the crew was here they did a great job. They protected my and the neighbors house during tear off and cleaned up every day. After tear off we discovered the addition roof tie in needed to be corrected which was outside the original bid. Mike rebuilt that and it looks and functions great. He did a lot of extras like disposing of some junk I had and putting some bolts in the front porch for a swing. He also partially roofed the playhouse to match the house(untill he ran out of shingles).I was very happy with the work.
MORE BAD  A week later I requested a paid in full invoice for taxes and the playhouse roof to be finished and Mike said he would take care of it.
It's been 7 weeks and still no invoice or finished roof on the playhouse.
FINAL WORD   If you want a quality job and have no time pressure then I recommend Mike. This was a 2 1/2 story hip roof and was not an easy job and took over 7 days to complete. That may have figured in to to delay. All in all it's been a roller coaster ride. He probably would have gotten here sooner if his Angies list A rating (and rightfully so in most cases) wouldn't have increased his business so much.

"We met Levi Lemon at our house to discuss our project. Levi was knowledgeable and really connected with us right away. We received a quote with drawings a few days later. We accepted the bid and work started on schedule. They removed the slab and old retaining walls, built 2 new beautiful curved walls and a new patio. In the back yard we have an 18' diameter patio with 3' fire pit circled with a retaining wall and it looks great! The crew was courteous and worked hard to protect our yard during the work despite the rain. They cleaned up everything, repaired the collateral damage and seeded everything. "Carl came and surveyed the situation and assured me that he could repair the damaged areas of my sheet vinyl flooring with the extra material that I had on hand. He asked for a down payment of 10% and then went to pick up the materials needed to repair the floor. He returned the next day and did a great job of removing the damaged areas and replacing them with an exact fit with pieces he cut out from my extra material. After gluing them in, you could not see where he had done the work. It looked perfect. It had to set for 24 hours. He came back the next day and sealed the seams. Again, it takes 24 hours to set. He came back on the third day and removed my rubber floor molding. It was tricky as I have wallpaper butting the molding. He removed the old molding without any damage to the wallpaper. I was extremely happy about that. He then purchased the wood replacement moldings and did a very good job on installing it. I was very pleased with his work. He has all the tools and talent to probably handle any job needed around the house. I am thinking of hiring him to refinish my living room hardwood floors in the spring."
