"I've been using Lawn Pride since 2015 for my annual lawn care needs. I've been completely satisfied with the results, like their application methods, have never experienced anything negative, and plan to continue using them."

"Perfectly. I purchased a three yards of mulch deal and within 24 hours, they called to schedule. This was sooner than I anticipated, which was great. I knew my yard was in bad shape, so after a bit of discussion, added extra services, not really knowing what to expect since I've always done my own yard work in the past. I just knew that I needed this done and they were more than willing. They trimmed my trees, shrubs, edged, put down the mulch and got rid of the shoots from my pear tree. They even cleaned off my deck! My husband can't figure out how they got it so clean. My lawn looks great and we are happy with all the TLC they provided. They exceeded my expectations."

"I'd used TruGreen in the past is why I chose them for my lawn care. I was originally set up on 4-6 week intervals to accomodate my financial needs. Everything was going as planned until I got a fertilization/weed control treatment & aeration in Sep within a week apart. I didn't realize what happened until I received the bill and contacted them to report a duplicated charge. I was told one of the charges included an aeration treatment and was a one time application indicated in the contract. This was not my understanding and must have been in very small print I could not read. When first asked about doing aeration, it was agreed to revisit in the fall. I was not asked, told or suggested this was being done so I got hit with that bill. Customer Service Rep was useless. Her resolution was to send someone out when I mentioned the service was incomplete since the gate was locked and the technician did not have access to my yard."

"<p> </p> <p>He showed up for our appointment as planed even called me to confirm that time/appointment. We walked the property and discussed the issues and how to resolve the over growth this spring and the clean-up. I was impressed with his knowledge and ability to adapt to a job that very obviously was going to be a lot of work to catch up but he did not hesitate to step up to that challenge. He arrive on time the next week to do the first session of work (2 persons on this job) working between rain/weather, in the mean time I received a written estimate to sign and return as our agreement for the work this summer. He and his team member worked for hours on the property picking up, mowing, and re0mowing, and doing extensive trimming and I can say for sure he isn't afraid of a challenge or hard work. I've personally taken care of this property growing up and it isn't easy it is a lot of hard work on uneven ground to bring back it's groomed park like appearance and the overgrowth made the 'normal' challenge a task larger than usual. I am pleased with the detail that was achieved on this first pass, I expect progress and control over the coming mowing sessions to erase the evidence of overgrowth that is our own fault for not reacting sooner and calling someone for help before Mid June. This company has done it could to make good progress on the property and care for its needs. This is a company that I'd highly recommend for reliability, hard work, ethical and professional attitude, and fair (very fair) pricing. I look forward to the coming weeks and possibly giving our leaf work to this company as well as our snow removal this winter.</p> <p> </p> <br />"

FAQs for lawn care aeration projects in Ingalls, IN

Aeration is the best way to keep your lawn healthy and vibrant. Annual aeration makes your lawn more breathable and helps nutrients reach the roots, improving water absorption and reducing puddles where pests might breed. However, timing matters. It's best to avoid aerating during droughts, extreme heat, or if your lawn is battling weeds. A local pro can help you determine the ideal time for your yard.

Most lawns benefit from annual aeration to keep them healthy and thriving. If your lawn has a lot of thatch buildup—more than half an inch—you might need to aerate twice a year for a couple of years to get it under control. But if your soil isn't compacted and there's minimal thatch, you might be able to skip a year.

When you hire a professional lawn care company, a standard 10,000-square-foot lawn takes about 30 minutes to aerate. Uneven, sloped, or especially large lawns can take significantly more time. So, depending on your lawn's size and condition, the process can take anywhere from half an hour to several hours.

The best time to aerate your lawn is during the spring or fall when your grass is actively growing and the soil has enough moisture. Aerating once in the spring and once in the fall yields the best results. Avoid aerating when your lawn is dormant or right after heavy rain when the soil is too wet—that can make aeration less effective.

Even if your lawn looks healthy, aeration can still be beneficial. If you have good growth, proper drainage, and little thatch, you might not need to aerate right away. Regular aeration helps water and nutrients reach the roots, keeping your lawn strong over time. Keep an eye on your lawn's condition to decide when it might need aeration.
