"Stuart was quick to respond to my request for an estimate and managed to schedule the project within a few weeks from the time I signed the contract. He explained the process clearly and kept me informed about the progress. He worked thoroughly and efficiently, getting the deck prepped in just a few hours the first day, and with the help of a crew member, finishing up the sanding and staining in just over half a day. When the costs ran lower than anticipated, he passed the savings on to me. Best of all, it looks like I have a brand new deck. People I don’t even know have complimented me on how good it looks. The whole experience was seamless."

"We've used Jack's Evergreen Painting for two projects now and I can't wait to work with them again! Andrey was extremely professional when coming to create an estimate for our first project, getting our first home ready for resale. We got to talk through everything while he took measurements and I was able to specify exactly where I wanted new paint, touch up, and what was to be left as is. Andrey never tried to upsell me on any service or product. Scheduling was a breeze, and they were even done early, which was impressive for the size of the job. I was so blown away by the quality of the work, I was actually sad to be moving!"

"Peter painted our fiberglass front door to our home. The fiberglass doors were challenging, and he spend a great deal of time with the prep of the door and around the glass inserts around the door. His work was outstanding, and the finished product was probably better than when we bought the doors new. We sincerely appreciated his work and highly recommend him for any projects one has in regard to specialty painting."

"I hired Cristian to refinish my hundred-year-old front door--it looks fabulous, and I couldn't be happier! His communication was excellent, there was absolutely no mess, and the door looks beautiful. I plan on hiring Cristian as more projects come up in our old house."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Issaquah, WA

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
