"My stone pad for my business was one of the best contracting experiences I have had as a business owner; start to finish. Mike was spot on with quote, he was very knowledgeable with site setup. When arrived onsite Mike was very friendly, professional and extremely efficient at installing my stone pad. The pad install looks awesome. Mike took extra precautions to not damage well and lawn. Highly recommended. 5 stars for M.S. Ward Land Enhancement ."

"Disclosure: I had over 15 estimates. Dewalt&Son's was not the cheapest, they came in middle of the road. That is just fine. They provided a well written detailed estimate of what the estimated price included, and what extra "hidden costs" would be covered for that price. It stated in plain English how much time it would take when work started, and how long the estimate was good for. I was provided with a large packet of references. Once I decided to go with Dewalt&Son's they showed up when they promised, and completed the work early, and on budget even though it was the middle of the summer, and the heat was blistering. My home was left orderly, and there was no major damage to any of my property. So far it has been almost five months, and the roofing has survived a supercell thunderstorm, and our first winter freeze. Nothing unexpected has happened, and I am very satisfied with the job Dewalt&Son's did. I have recommended them to others personally. I waited to write this review so could observe the roofing job over the seasonal change after some weather. It held up great, and no doubt will continue to do so."

"They were right on time showing up for the estimate and very professional. They next day they even came out to run levels and check the slope of the area to ensure that there would be proper drainage for the change in elevation.
They provided a detailed quote and plan for the work. I'm quite certain that the job would have been beautiful and structurally sound, but it was simply out of my budget for this project.
I wouldn't completely rule them out as a contractor in the future should I have need of this type of work again.

"I contacted 4 Seasons Landscaping, Inc in late November about plowing my driveway, shoveling my walks and clearing snow off a portion of my roof as needed for the winter season. The owner quickly responded to my call and stopped by to look over the job and give me a price estimate the same day.

Our first significant snowfall of the season occurred last Wednesday night and I was delighted to find that the driveway had been plowed
before I awoke Thursday morning. Amazingly, no one in the house had heard them come and go. Later two members of the owner's staff came by shortly after 9 AM to shovel the walks. I am very impressed and satisfied with the service 4 Seasons Landscaping has provided me thus far.

"My home, as you can see from this partial list of the projects I am undertaking, needs a lot of TLC. Working with George was a great experience. His estimates were reasonable and reliable; he and his crew were punctual and easy to have around. But its the quality of the workmanship and the attention to detail that really makes this contractor stand out from the crowd. Although I am not an expert; I have high standards, and George got things right the first time. At one point, we had to leave him entirely in charge of the house as one of my work assignments led to the departure of the entire family for a whole month right in the middle of the proceedings, but I felt entirely comfortable leaving things in his care. He went above and beyond the call of duty more than once, and is very generous with his advice, which is invaluable when you have a "fixer upper" to contend with."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Ithaca, NY

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
