"We had a really positive experience with Joe's Masonry. I requested a quote, and the owner of the company personally came out the next day to give us a quote. We got several quotes, and this quote was very fair. Our stoop had decorating mortar. They cut all of the old mortar out and replaced it with mortar that matched the rest of our brick. They replaced a few crumbling/broken bricks. They then extended two narrow stairs to make them the width of the stoop with additional bricks. This involved digging out dirt and pouring a concrete foundation before extending the steps. You can't tell the difference between where the old steps ended and where the add on started. They were kind, friendly, and conscientious. They said it the job would take 4 days. Four days later it was done. It looks great! I have had so many bad experiences with home repair. This was not one of them. I would recommend this company if you are needing brick work done."

"Kim at Nelson Masonry was incredibly responsive from the first time he came out to assess the situation (we had a leaky front porch that was "repaired" five years ago by what turned out to be an incompetent provider) through his laying out of the plans to the actual demolition and reconstruction of the front porch. He assured us his crew would take care of the problem and that we would be all set to weather (ha ha) the future. When they removed the top bricks and saw what had been put underneath, they reassessed. Ultimately, they put in a layer of concrete to create a positive slope away from the house, sealed it with liquid rubber, and then installed the bricks and mortar. Finished look was clean, and now the water should stay on top and run away from the house. Kim responded to email and texts with lightening speed. When I asked if they could look at another small crack in mortar on a different part of the house he had his guys match the grout and do a "tuck point" fix. In short, highly recommend this company. Their number one goal seemed to be to take care of us and leave us with a porch that would not cause us any more problems."

After talking to other contractors and not really finding anyone to be able to do the job without hiring both a carpenter and mason I found Mr. Herrera through home advisor. I contacted him with what I needed, and he came and looked at it and was able to do the whole job of repairing the framework and the brickwork. The color match to the brick was great, his work and his partner's work ethic was great, the finished product looked great and I am very please. The price in my opinion was even better. It was fair and very affordable. I would definitely use him again for any of my stone work that may need to be re-done or repaired. I would also recommend anyone who needs any type of stone and/or brick work to use this company. They provided really good service at great prices."
