"I hired Quality Contractors to install low voltage lighting. It was a $8500 job. The wiring was placed just below the mulch so within a few weeks, much of the wiring was exposed. I called Mike to get this resolved. He said that the person who buried the cables was new and didn't do it deep enough - it was supposed to be below the mulch; they returned to bury it correctly. About a year later, one of the lights stopped working. It took me a few weeks to get anyone to return my calls. It took another few weeks for anyone to come out to the house to repair the issue. Last month, another light stopped working. Once again, I called and had to leave messages. Brian and Mike then bounced my issue between the two of them. After 2 weeks of this, I finally got Mike to discuss the issue on the phone. He said he would charge me $90 plus labor and parts to repair a light that was still under warranty. I tried to explain what the situation was and ask why the item wasn't covered under the warranty. He then got very rude and disrespectful, accusing me of calling him names and lying. I told him he was the one lying as I had our conversation on tape. Suddenly, his demeanor changed and he wanted to cooperate with me. I asked to talk to Brian several times and he refused- stating that he was the boss and he made the decisions. He also stated that a service call wound entail traveling 2 hours one way to my house (from Canton to South Asheville??) and that I already had several service calls in the past - so much for extended warranties with this company. His professionalism and customer service skills do not exist. I cannot recommend this company unless you hope to never need follow up/warranty service from them once the job is done!"

"Chad took over for another contractor that didn't know what he was doing. He inherited quite a mess. Chad investigated all of the prior work thoroughly, and was honest in his assessment that everything the prior contractor did would not last, and needed to be redone. I was unhappy, to say the least, but had my suspicions before Chad even looked at it. Chad did a thorough inspection and measurements for his quote, and made sure he asked all the questions he needed for an accurate quote, and addressed all of my concerns. After hiring Chad, he and his crew got to work at the time that I was given. He and his crew were very professional and very curteous, and I never had any issues with them during their time here. The crew cleaned up after themselves every day and always asked if it was ok to leave any tools or equipment at the house. Chad is not one of those guys who "does it all", and if you ask him, he will tell you. Each profession (Tile, drywall, paint, plumbing, electrical) has it's own specialized tooling and methodology, and he understands that in order to achieve the best results, one must use those professionals who work their trade every day. Chad made sure everything was lines up at each stage of the project, and dealt with all of the trades that he subcontracted. Each of these trades were fully licensed and bonded and were people who Chad could count on to do an excellent job. At every stage of the project, if there were ANY questions that needed to be answered about how I wanted something to look, or options that I had, Chad NEVER hesitated to ask me how I wanted it to be. I did not have to worry about Chad just doing "what he thought I wanted" like you may find with other contractors. Any concern that I had, Chad addressed, and resolved. I changed my mind on quite a few things, and Chad rolled with the punches. The most important thing after quality, Chad kept himself within budget! Even with some of the changes I made, he was able to keep me close enough to my original quote that I was impressed. I had expected a larger final bill than what I received, and I was quite relieved. I will be doing more projects at my home, and will ONLY be using Chad Henry Construction and his sub-contractors for the job. Chad takes pride in his work, and stands behind it. I had hired my own electrician, who actually introduced me to Chad, but in the future I will not be using them, as I had trouble with them! I will be using Chad to spearhead ALL work in the future. You will not be unhappy with hiring Chad Henry Construction. I wouldn't pay attention to any other negative review, because Chad is a straight shooter. If he cannot do something, he will tell you. If he has policies in place, he will tell you. Old school pride and work ethic."

"I highly recommend Robert and United Foundations! I had a serious drainage issue at the front of my house due to a cracked and sloping driveway. Unlike a competitor, Robert didn't just plan on replacing the driveway as is, he carefully figured out exactly what was causing my drainage issue and then adjusted his plans for my driveway according. For example, he raised the elevation on one side significantly, added an edge/lip to the side of the new concrete and added a drain. I was impressed with the detailed solutions he kept coming up with as he evaluated the issues. He even identified a serious issue with the concrete slab in my garage where the underlying support had washed away! Besides identifying and fixing my drainage and garage issues, I was also extremely pleased and impressed with how quickly his crew started and finished my project. The only negative I can think of is that I had to pay with a check. Given the cost of driveway repairs, a credit card option would have been helpful. Other than that, I give Robert and his team 10 stars out of 10!!! THANK YOU!"

"I got a quote for putting in a new 650 ft chip and tar driveway and resurfacing a 100 ft asphalt driveway. There were several delays (reportedly due to weather). When a time slot became available, it was already into the cold season and I was told that chip and tar could not be done. We opted to install the gravel base for the new driveway and finish the job in the spring. The work on the gravel base layer was excellent; neat and professionally installed, for which I was billed and paid. However, that is far as we have gotten. It is now July and I cannot get CAPS out to complete the job. I have called repeatedly and have been given multiple reasons for the delay, and each time getting a promise to get back in touch with me regarding scheduling. Excuses have been a combination of: weather delays, major jobs taking precedence, liquid tar availability, estimator quitting, etc. These are all understandable, but I would think that in 5-6 months, you should be able to get through a 2-3 week backlog and get to my job. I even had some additional work that I wanted them to add to the project; I came close to getting someone out to look at the additional work (someone actually called to schedule a date/time for a site visit), but that also got delayed and never happened. I should mention that the person answering the phone was friendly and seemed sincere in my interactions with her. I really liked CAPs work and reasonable pricing, but getting a response from these folks is like watching rain erode a rock - it takes a little while. CAPs, if you are reading reviews, let customers know if you are not interested in doing their project; don't drag them on. You'll be one step ahead of the competition if you simply communicate with your customers."
