"Very smooth install. Ed was nice, personable, and timely. He installed the solar lights efficiently and correctly. And they function perfectly. Fee was very reasonable as well. He’s agreed to install similar lights next weekend at our daughter’s home located about 10 minutes away. We’re in the market for a new handyman, so would not hesitate to contact Ed again. Thank you."

"Timber and Stone did amazing work! People have been walking by and saying my stone patio and landscaping wall is the talk on the street!! I was actually recording my dog playing and someone drove by and yelled “I love your patio”. It wouldn’t surprise me if they are flooded with referrals since I live on the corner of the busy entrance to the neighborhood. Hire them because of the great people, reasonable price, communication and thorough work! Mike and Heather rock!!… or stone :) "

"Excellent response time and customer service with good communication from Caleb. He notified me by text of the scheduled time of arrival, and was on-time for the job. He worked hard, thoroughly answered any questions, and was very honest with his responses. The workmanship was very high quality with a one-day turn that restored our worn out sand joints and pavers to like-new condition. He was careful with our property, and cleaned any areas affected by the power washing of sand kicking up on the house. Used good quality product, and applied very professionally. Caleb has a depth of knowledge from over 17 years of experience with pavers and patios, and gave me some good tips on maintaining the patio for years to come. Very good pricing, and a great deal for getting our patio back to top condition. I would highly recommend Curt's Brick and Stone, and plan to use their services again."

"We have had problems with moss and mildew causing our pavers to be slippery. We also had some pavers that have been stained by black walnut husks. L-W has a special machine that gently cleans the pavers and collects the dirty water for disposal. The pavers are allowed to dry for several days, and then they apply a sealer. I think they also sweep in some sand (or a special sand mix) into the seams. Depending on traffic, the sealer is supposed to help for 3-5 years. We have large trees and a shady lot so we have had problems with moss, mildew and weeds. We also wanted to have some paavers with permanent stains removed and replaced prior to sealing. L-W found matching pavers and did a great job on this. Now, we are careful to remove black walnuts from the pavers so we don't get any further stains. They were very professional and helpful and did a great job. We will use them again. <br />"

"Excellent! We wanted a 5' x 25' patio pad to transition from our back porch to the backyard. The drop necessitated a step across 13' of the opening. We asked Greg G. to design a nice paver pad. The quote was detailed and LDS did everything they said they would do. They laid plywood sheets on the lawn to the backyard to protect the lawn from the equipment they used and picked them up each day. This pad and planting took a week to install and the LDS workers cleaned after each day's work. Truly professional and I have recommended LDS to my neighbors."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Johnstown, OH

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
