I, am a one man show I grew up in construction. I have 32 years experience. I, am not cheap but quality and reliabilty does pay. I, charge an hourly rate of $50.00 plus a $35 daily trip fee. I, encourage customers to send me photos to my phone. This helps me to analyze your project.

I emailed Ken in March to schedule the work in late May/early June, weather permitting.  He responded to my inquiry promptly and came out to my house to do an onsite inspection within two days of my initial contact.   Ken was very friendly and open to questions and had recommendations for the best paint products to use for our rainy region, as well as the best finishes to use for the trim vs. main walls.  He provided some Miller paint sample pamphlets during the visit and emailed me a pricing estimate the next business day.

The estimate came in at $2368 and included all the pressure washing and cost of Rodda or Miller paint and labor, as well as a 3 year warranty.  When my neighbor expressed interest in having her home painted at the same time, Ken gave her the same price and also agreed to a $300 discount for each of us for having the jobs scheduled at the same time, which pleased us both.  We agreed on a $600 deposit to schedule the work, which I paid via credit card.

After I settled on paint colors, Ken came out for a second onsite meeting to discuss the plans for painting the trim, door, shutters and main walls.  He agreed to replace my original house numbers with new ones during the job, and to be sure to remove and remount all my mounted garden hose holders and other fixtures during the process.  Ken purchased all the paint for the job.

We had a very rainy May and had to wait for a break in the weather, but Ken let me know two days before they planned to start on my job.  They arrived on time as promised and completed the entire job in a single day, and even painted half of my neighbor's house.   They had a ton of drop cloths placed everywhere to make sure no paint spilled on my patio, fence, plants, etc. There was a minor problem with a door fixture installed upside down that required repainting the front door again, but they took care of it immediately.

The paint job turned out beautiful, I could not be happier.  Ken and I talked quite a bit about handling the trim and the gutters to make sure the good features were highlited and the downspouts etc. were not, and it turned out perfect.  My neighbors were all very impressed with the work, and I feel like I have the prettiest house on the block!
