"They installed a beautiful patio and walkway for us and the crew was professional and worked hard and fast. They wanted me to be satisfied with the job and worked with me when there was a misunderstanding. I would highly recommend them. There was a problem with the final bill but the owner resolved it to my satisfaction."

"Quick response and extremely attentive to our needs. At first, Nathan was too busy to take the job, so he referred us to another business. He called back a few days later to see if I had any luck getting scheduled. I hadn't. He said a spot opened up so he was able to fit me in that same week! Did a nice job cleaning, filling cracks, and resealing our asphalt driveway. The only negative aspect was that some areas of the product didn't adhere very well and was wearing away a year later."

"Taylor and his crew did an amazing job on our backyard project. Stone Paving LLC built us a 4 foot retaining wall and brought up our backyard elevation. We have a large lot but it's on a hill and most of our backyard was unusable. Taylor and his crew built a 4 foot retaining wall and back filled with gravel and then closer to the top topsoil and compost. In addition to the wall and grading the elevation Taylor also coordinated the irrigation work we needed. All in all the job was seamless and only took 4 days to complete. We were very impressed by how efficiently Taylor and his team worked together. The end product is absolutely incredible and a huge, HUGE improvement from what we had before. We are so excited to actually have a big, attractive and usable backyard. Our neighbors are also loving the change. We've only had a weekend with our new wall but, neighbors are walking by and complementing us on the transformation. We've passed out a few Stone Paving Cards already. This job was a huge deal to us. For us it was also a considerable investment. We spent about a year in talks with Taylor. First for the initial bid. Then we saved and thought about a few tweaks to the plan. When we were close to having the funds we had him come out again re-bid and talk us through the whole project in more detail. Taylor is very responsive and explains the process in detail in a way that puts you at ease. I will absolutely hire Stone Paving again in the future when we work on our front yard.2qq"

"I have reviewed and researched many masonry companies provided fireplace instillation services and <br /> decided to go with Stone Design Tech LLC to replace my old gas fireplace with <br /> a wood burning fireplace. I'm glad I did it. Stan and his team at <br /> Stone Design Tech LLC did a fantastic job. They were professional, prompt and fair in <br /> cost. They are very knowledgeable and flexible and careful. <br /> I gave them do the installation of fireplace, the finish work including the <br /> the drywall work, the finish stone work and even they did for me very beautiful side walk and patio on my back yard.. They are well capable in doing the entire job. They willingly worked around my schedule as I had periods of when I needed to <br /> travel because of my job. I would recommend the Stone Design Tech for every work related to fireplaces, patio, side walks or other masonry work. <br />"

"<p>Was impressive, four people over at our house getting the project done.  From prepping to finish, these guys came with confidence and did not cut any corners.  These guys know what works and what does not with masonry.  The extensive knowledge of products and masonry was very helpful.  I was not using a foreman, so Peter was able to advise and brought up ideas that were more than helpful.  His craftsmanship and finish skills are better than any contractor I have ever used.  </p>"

FAQs for brick and stone patios, walks, and steps installation projects in Kalama, WA

When cleaning your flagstone patio, begin by gently hosing off loose dirt and debris. Use a mild solution of white vinegar and water or diluted dish soap to scrub the surface with a soft-bristled brush. Avoid using abrasive tools, such as wire brushes, as they can damage the stone’s seal and finish. This careful approach effectively removes mold and grime while preserving the natural beauty of your patio.

Flagstone naturally offers a neutral palette that includes shades of grey, black, red, yellow, brown, and tan, and its inherent color cannot be altered. Choosing varieties like bluestone provides a subtle bluish tint that complements many exterior designs. These natural hues enhance curb appeal and create a refined, timeless look in your outdoor space, ensuring a sophisticated finish with minimal upkeep.

Flagstone for a patio must have a minimum thickness of 1.5 inches to reliably support furniture and foot traffic. Using stone that is two to three inches thick is recommended to ensure lasting durability. The increased thickness prevents cracking under load and enhances long-term performance. Investing in thicker flagstone provides superior stability and resistance to weather conditions, ensuring your outdoor space remains both safe and attractive.

You can paint a flagstone patio by using a high-quality, outdoor elastomeric latex paint designed for heavy foot traffic. Painting not only refreshes the patio’s appearance but also creates a waterproof barrier that protects the stone from damage. Regular reapplication every one to two years maintains its durability and visual appeal, ensuring your patio remains both stylish and well-protected.
