"I got one of those deals on Angie’s List for roof maintenance. I got a response in less than 24 hrs. Jesus showed up on time. He assessed the problem and showed me pictures. It was pretty much what I expected: a leak around the solar panels. He checked the rest of the roof as well. Jesus fixed the problem area without any additional charges. He was very thorough and professional. I’d recommend him to any of my friends."

"I went and gave them a down payment and was told it would be two or three weeks until they started. It was the monsoon season; I understand they were busy. I didn't hear from them and after four weeks had passed gave them a call. I was told that due to the monsoons they were running late and I was told it would be another two weeks. I feel that this was legitimate. We have had a wet monsoon season. Maybe I am old fashioned, but a phone call would be nice. The crew finally showed up and did good work that day, the second day the same, the third day they showed up it was raining. They stayed two hours waiting for the rain to stop then told me they were going to go back and would be back the next day. That day came and went. They were a no show. I can live with that just give me a call and let me know. The work when it was finally finished was very satisfactory. Communication with the customer is very poor."

"Mr. Haas identified problems in our roof installation and issued a report. He suggested re-install and steps that we should take to get it done. It was a long process that involved county and DPOR. Mr. Haas was very helpful every step during the entire process. He is highly experienced and very responsive to our calls, text, and email. We eventually got the roof reinstalled in a very good quality. Mr. Haas was onsite multiple times to ensure the right materials and methods were used. It would not be possible without the help from Mr. Haas."

"It had started raining sometime on Thursday 1/29/15. By Friday 1/30/15, it had become pretty steady. We noticed a wet spot just above our bed in the master bedroom. I went up into the attic  to see what was going on. There I noticed  a spot in the roof sheathing that was completely deteriorated. I placed a large tub under the spot, hoping to contain as much of the drip as possible. <br />    On Friday, I called a couple different roofing companies to come & give an estimate for getting this fixed pronto.. I was told that the <br /> earliest they could come, would be sometime next week. Meanwhile Friday night 1/30/15, things started to look worse, so Saturday morning, I told the wife that I was going to browse the web & see if there was anyone that could come sooner. After marking down several names, the name Wampler stood out because I used to work with someone that had same last name. <br />      So this is 7:00 AM Sat 1/31/15, I call the company Wampler Roof  Coatings. A person by the name of Carla answers. I tell her the news of my roof & ask if they do repairs like that. She said yes. I said: fine, but this is Saturday. She answered that it was no problem, they work 24/7 if need be. I said : Today?  She said sure. I said but it's still raining. She said : No problem, we can be there within an hour. <br />      They came, tore open the roof, diagnosed the situation, sent someone to town for parts, & by late afternoon the job was completed. Thank you Wampler Roof Coatings, you saved the day !! <br />"

"<p>They were very good to work with.  They gave us a great price on a difficult job to remove two old layers of shingles and install new shingles.  During the job there were a couple of issues with rain leaking into the home, but they came out each time to address and take care of the problems.  Our home has very steep angles on the roof, making it challenging to install the new roof... but they were able to get it done and it looks great!  We are very happy with the new roof and very happy with the experience overall.</p> <br />"

"Guy was very fair an honest I felt, even though I did feel he was bit eccentric, but I did like his explanation of the work he was going to do.and the materials and time it would take, and why it would take that long. <br /> Other roofers did not explain that it would take a day or more between dry times to complete like this guy. <br /> He seemed very knowledgeable about construction and I believe he would have done just fine, but my neighbor saw me doing work and I decide to get help with him since he's is an architect and builds decks (which I did not know until he came over) <br /> I will consider him for future work and referrals though. <br />"

"We had a storm that ripped off some ties that was two years ago. They are not local. There were probably 100 roofing companies from all over the country that came in because so many roofs were damaged here. The underside of the roof collapsed. That was not a storm leak. It was a water leak. I would use them again."

FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in Kayenta, AZ

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
