"Tali Maka and his team at Pacific Seas committed to do a concrete driveway rv pad that was also to be anchored to the existing driveway along with a couple inches of roadbase to prevent uneven settling and cracking. They also committed to install a drain to prevent water from accumunatio behind the new driveway. Along with this they were to get a permit to cut down the curb in front of the driveway for access and seal the concrete. First, they didnt remove enough dirt for the roadbase or prep for installing the drain. The correct depth for the concrete has also come into question. They did get the permit and cut the curb down, but its a crooked sloppy mess and chunks are breaking off. They did not install the anchors and started concrete pours directly on the soil. When called on this, they merely sprinkled road base over part of the existing dirt, not more that 1/8 in thick. Then they poured everything over top. While doing the driveway, they knew storms were possible that day, and as clouds approached, some of them literally began singing rain rain go away, come again another day. They finished laying the concrete and then started cleaning the concrete off their tools, and transport tub onto our front lawn. I got after them because it will kill the lawn, when they at least then went to the curb. Soon after this, they loaded up and left, not covering the concrete. Shortly thereafter as the rain started coming down, my good neighboor who is a roofer grabbed his roofimg tarps to combine woth my tarps to try to get things covered. We called and complained and he did send one of his workers back to try to go over the surface with his trowel because of the water, but as it continued to rain, this had limited usefulness. They were supposed to follow up and seal the concrete but never did. Now the concrete surface flakes off in various area due to getting rained on as the concrete was trying to set, and we already have cracks. As we tried to reach out for sealing it and to get receipts for our payments, he first repeatedly lied saying he was going to send them or already had sent them, then he just stopped responding to our calls. Good thing we have carbon copy checks or we'd have nothing to show for taxes, etc. Our new driveway is not lasting as long as the original driveway that came with house that is 30 years old. I would not use them again or recommend them. There in pouring concrete to get a quick buck and then leave."

I had full landscaping installed, from irrigation, topsoil and ground leveling, concrete, fencing, rock, sod, and some extras. The results of their work have made my forever home beautiful, beyond my expectations. I receive comments from neighbors and guests often about the plan, the materials chosen, and how sharp the yard looks. I came upon Good Samaritan Landscaping through Angie’s List. I contacted them through the site and received a phone call the next morning. Leslie and Fred were quick to arrive at my home, talk about my needs and wants, and were compassionate to some constraints I was under. I had an idea of what I wanted and spoke with both Leslie and Fred about my needs and wants. They were quickly able to take my ideas and formulate a plan. I was placed into their schedule as quickly as they were able accommodate me, with other jobs they currently were involved in. Fred’s crew arrived a couple of weeks later with his equipment and began the large task of creating a yard and landscape from plain dirt. His crew worked carefully around my home, expertly avoiding the marked utilities, and the irrigation system was completed in days. Topsoil was brought in to level and properly grade the yard, which was done to Fred’s expert eye and satisfaction. Concrete curbing was then installed beautifully. Next was rock in the perimeter of the property and around the house. Fred and Leslie both looked hard for the type and color rock I had wanted. I was pleasantly surprised with stone that exceeded my expectations for color and beauty. The extra effort they took on this part of the job really sets my house apart from all others, I could not be more pleased. When sod arrived and went down, Fred was personally involved to make sure it was laid with expertise and care. The results of his work are outstanding.
