"We've used American Air since at least 1990! They work you in when it's an emergency, I've never had to wait another day, they came the day I called. I've only had one service man that didn't work out and the owner came out that day and fixed the problem. That's a great record!! We've had them replace 2 a/c, heater units in 2 homes and run new duct work. They explain what you need and why. We got a cheaper quote from a different a/c man to put in a unit at the house we live in now. He installed the unit and American Air had to come behind him and fix the problems he left. The part that needed replacing had to be ordered and it would take a good week to get it, in the middle of a very hot summer. They replaced the part and gave us a credit for the replacement unit that would go to them, even though they didn't sell that brand. They work with you anyway they can. They call before they come out, I like that! I’ve personally referred other people to them and they were satisfied too. I highly recommend them!!"

"I have used them several times. Yes, I would use them again. Simply because they installed the system in my house that I bought. My house is less than 2 years old. We built our house, and they installed the unit, the system, and everything. I used them because they are familiar with it. They are the ones who installed it and they are responsible for what ever. I gave them a C for the performance, because of my most recent interaction with them. It was more one particular guy. The guy was in a rush. He came to my house, one thing he was late. Which I understand, because where I live there is still a lot of newer construction. They installed the systems in all those house out there. They are constantly going. From Madisonville to Baton Rouge, you are talking about a 45 or 50 minute time difference. That is how far away it is. So it is understandable, but he came and he told me he had a lot of different houses to do. So he came, he left the truck running. He was supposed to come check out the unit inside, up in the attic, check the coil, and clean. I feel like, I was cutting my grass at the time, I don't believe he even went in the attic. I was outside cutting my grass trying to get that done before it started raining. I didn't even question him. He came, he was there kind of long enough to go into the attic maybe, but I don't think that he did. What really stood out to me is he left his truck running. I understand it's hot outside and everything, and you left the A/C running probably, but you can tell he was in a rush. I don't feel like he did everything, but I didn't stand over and watch him. I just had a feeling he didn't do everything. I think he just cleaned the outside unit, and he was just in and out. Like he checked to make sure my filter was good inside, and I don't think he really went into the attic. So I don't feel like he did a complete job. I had an issue, so they are coming back on Tuesday of next week. I would tell a friend or family member I had a mixed experience with them. The first time I dealt with them it was a different guy, and he came out and did what he had to do, he was real professional, and I was totally satisfied with the work that he did. The last guy, you know how some people are kind of sketchy, he was one of those people. Overall I would say I have had a pretty good experience, overall, up until recently. I can't 100% prove that he didn't do what he was supposed to do, I just feel like he didn't. Overall, I would tell people I had a pretty good experience. The interactions with him were good for the most part. Any concerns that I had, he answered. You know you are only as good as your last job. Across the board, I would say interactions with them have been good. The person that you speak to when you call them out to have something done, I have had a good experience across the board. The issue I have right now, that they are coming out for on Tuesday, they are pretty good. The responsive time is pretty good."

"I contacted Ashley's Building for a quote on remodeling my only bathroom in the house (built in 1955).  Adam came over the next day and inspected the room to determine what would be required for the remodel.  He asked me and my wife to visit the vendors and pick out a tub, fixtures, and marble; which we did within the next couple of days as our schedules permitted.  Based on the materials we chose, Adam was able to provide a bid quickly and we accepted.  Adam and the sub-contractors were professional in every way and worked quickly given the situation we were in - not having another tub/shower in the house.  Adam stayed involved in every step of the process and the job was completed in about a week despite a few setbacks given the age of the house (and how many remodels don't have some sort of setback?)  If it wasn't for Adam and his experience and professionalism, I truly don't feel the job would have been completed as quickly, especially with a less experienced or engaged contractor.  Remember that a good contractor is one that KNOWS what they are doing and RESPECTS the homeowner.  I never felt like I needed to oversee the work being done as Adam came highly recommended and he appeared to treat the job as if it were for his own house.  Adam is very particular about the work he does (and his subs) and will not accept anything less than perfect.  My wife and I are extremely pleased with, not only the final product, but the process from beginning to end.  I look forward to having Adam and his crew back out to the house for my next project. <br /> If you want something done right, don't do it yourself . . . call Ashley's Building! <br />"
