"I wanted to take a moment to express how happy I was with D&D Landscaping and lighting. Dean did a fabulous job diagnosing and repairing my non working landscape lights. Dane found the short in the wire, rewired and installed new lights. The work was done meticulously. While working on the lighting I mentioned something about my Sprinklers. Dane stayed a little longer and made an adjustment to my sprinkler heads so the the grass that had burned would come back to life. Lastly, Dane came out on Fatherâ s Day so they I wouldnâ t miss any time from work. What a guy. "From the outset Ludwik was extremely professional. He came to my house to do a free estimate and explained the requirements for the new service according to code. He also reviewed the probable timeline of completion. I was initially somewhat frustrated that he would not offer even ballpark ranges for the work envisioned. He has an old-world sense of propriety about "how things should be done." After receiving other estimates, however, I perceived that Ludwik electric was offering high quality service at affordable rates and Ludwik's sense of the "appropriate" also translated into high caliber customer service and worker accountability. Ludwik's estimate was $820,00 lower than another highly rated electrical service on Angie's List. Moreover, he actively courts customer satisfaction. Two accommodations were particularly meaningful to me. Ludwik asked me about appliances that required electricity across the installation period (refrigerator/s, freezer/s, etc.) and offered to make arrangements to keep them supplied. In addition, he arranged for my wireless network router to have electricity, so my home computer network remained functional and didn't require re-programming. I really appreciated these arrangements. His workers were introduced by name (so there were no anonymous strangers drifting through the house). Each person was neat, task-focused, and friendly. All work was completed on schedule and every bit of wire or construction refuse was cleaned up and discarded. Ludwik brings decades of experiences as an electrician to his clients and takes pride in doing a fine job for each. I had delayed this installation for years because I dreaded the likely disruptions; instead, Ludwik and his crew made this experience reasonably easy. I even requested an estimate for some additional future work -- a real compliment -- because I now envision such being tolerable! Truly I recommend Ludwik and his company heartily. "Half of their work is very good. The other half is mediocre. They patched, acid etched and coated our 58 year old concrete porch with polymer modified coatings. Less than 6 months later the coating is worn and chipping off. They acid etched and coated the garage floor and said it would probably crack someday. Someday was 3 weeks. They removed the old wrought iron railings and installed new aluminum railings whose angles and placement do not match. They still have not replaced the small railing gate protecting the basement stairs. They installed Unilock Pavers. The pavers are basically level. They were supposed to repair and reinstall our chain link fence gate. They dug out one post and reset it leaning north. The gate was worse than before they started. We had to pay someone else to fix it so that it stays closed. They removed and replaced the asphalt driveway and did an excellent job but we spent 2 weeks with the driveway dug down to the clay with machinery and debris everywhere. The two river rock sections are very well done. They work, when they please. They say “we’ll be here tomorrow” and finally show up days later with increasingly outrageous explanations. This project is not finished and we are very displeased with the quality of the work and the way that Uptime Builders do business."
