"My wife and I recently worked with Joe Torres, referred to us by Sara at Pachamama Inspired, for a complete backyard renovation. We were on a tight deadline of just one month to transform our outdoor space, and Joe and his team exceeded every expectation. They delivered not only everything promised but so much more within the timeframe. One of the standout aspects of working with Joe was his exceptional communication. Whether through text, email, phone, or in-person meetings, he was always available, attentive, and proactive in listening to our needs. He made thoughtful recommendations throughout the project and effortlessly navigated our challenging schedule. His team was equally impressive—always punctual, professional, and meticulous about cleaning up at the end of each day. The scope of work was extensive. They completely reimagined our backyard, including new sod, a fire pit, thoughtfully placed plants, mulch, hedges, and trees. The patio was re-leveled, new concrete poured, and beautiful pavers installed to create a polished, functional space. They even handled electrical work with ease. The attention to detail and quality of craftsmanship was truly remarkable. Joe and his team delivered a backyard that not only met but exceeded our vision, and we couldn’t be happier with the result. If you’re considering any type of landscaping, hardscaping, or general contracting work, I highly recommend Joe Torres. His professionalism, expertise, and dedication to excellence make him a standout in this field."

"Neal Burgess came over and planted 3 redwood trees for me on a Saturday.  One of his workmen planted two pepper trees on our hillside. The retaining wall went well.  I was disappointed they would not prune an oak tree but I was told they are not removing trees any longer."

"Their pricing was decent and they were quick. They were pretty upfront with their estimates and fairly quick on follow ups once I had hired them. I however did not think that their follow up was that great and I have to contact them several times."

"I completely agree with their ad to stop wishing you had a great outdoor living space and do something about it already! Last summer I had bid out all these projects for the yard and only managed to get one done. Additionally, I wanted a sidewalk and landscaping and sprinklers moved, meaning another three companies to find, each one dependent on the other. After changing the sidewalk to a rock dust walkway I was able to get JNR to do all of them together. It took three months from signing the contract to get the work done. They do a good job and work hard although tend to show up randomly. They don't communicate much with me or between departments or with subcontractors, so I had to do some directing, but it turned out well. I'm satisfied with the quality and thrilled that my yard looks good in time for the annual Tehachapi Mountain Festival."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Kernville, CA

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
