"I was very impressed with the crew that worked on our project. It turned out great and the crew was very friendly, conscientious and professional. They took great pride in their work and did whatever it took to ensure that the result was perfect. They also took care to avoid destroying the surrounding area and ensure that everything was cleaned up and gutters etc. we're in place every day in case it rained while they were gone.
"

"The project went very well -- I had a general idea of what I wanted and Brian had specific recommendations for each area of the project. The project (especially the steps to the backyard) was adjusted as we went along which changed the original estimate, but Brian always let me know if that was occurring. Brian's team members are very hardworking and also have very positive upbeat personalities. Brian and his team produce excellent work and pay attention to details (ie, craftsmanship), but Brian also has a good "eye". When he says he has an idea/suggestion for your project, just say "OK" -- it will definitely be something you like. I've had more positive comments from my neighbors about this driveway than any other improvement to my home in the past 10 years, including the new roof and siding project several years ago."

"Final Grade returned to our home to replace a few plants that had not survived the winter.
They were prompt and professional and performed the work without any issues.
And the honored their original pricing - no additional charge for the follow-up.
At the same time, we added to our landscaping, having Final Grade install edging. Great job!
"

"
We had previously worked with Chris and his crew on replacement of a failing timber retaining wall with a contoured block version. That earlier work involved demolition and removal of treated posts and lumber while extending a pre-existing section using an Anchor block product. The segmented, angular wall was replaced by a contoured design that provided more room for a prized shade tree. During this initial, 2012 phase, we found Chris very easy to work with. He was receptive to our concepts and offered constructive comments- we didn't want a deferential contractor that would let us make bad choices. Chris speaks up in a respectful way. The crew happily worked with street pavers that were on-site.
That earlier work turned out so nicely that we resolved to continue the project the in 2013 as our vision for completion firmed up. There are obvious advantages to completing the entire job at once, but even using design software, it is difficult to feature how it will all turn out. Change orders and call-backs are no fun for anyone. For us, it worked to live with an incomplete project for a few seasons to really know what we wanted.

The 2013 work would involve constructing low planters in both the front and back yards, extending the patio work in the back yard, adding edgers and completing sod work. Chris returned with the same crew (a plus for us) and was rarely not on site himself during either project. This work was complicated by an impending family reunion. To avoid damaging existing landscaping, most of this second phase was completed with wheelbarrows and hand tools. Once again, there were design and material selection considerations as well as technical issues, including rainwater management. There was no objection to the owners contributing labor. In turn, we tried to stay ahead of the crew or out of the way.

The entire project is now complete- we are delighted and have received nothing but compliments.

"

"Great! My contact there, Bob, recommended that we take what was left of the ornamental grass and transplant it in the planting bed. This saved the cost of buying new plants. They did a nice installation job. But Bob went way above and beyond. My association had initially told me that they'd reimburse me for the expense but then refused to reimburse me when I sent them the bill. I took my association to conciliation court to recover the cost of replanting the grass. Bob came to court with me to testify on my behalf. I tried twice to pay him for his time but he wouldn't take any money. I really appreciate his willingness to help me."

"We had a small 8 x 28 foot area in need of fill and grading to slope away from my foundation, to keep surface water away from my foundation.
Steve discussed options, gained an understanding of what we wanted, and quoted accordingly. His attention to detail was excellent. His desire to do things the way we wanted was very much appreciated. His knowledge helped us make some good decisions.
The project consisted of putting in black dirt fill, grading and tamping, installing black plastic covering and edging, putting in landscape rock, and planting several hydrangea plants. Steve also applied black dirt to various low spots and bare spots in the front lawn and applied grass seed to these areas. This was an and quot;extraand quot; that we had not previously discussed that we very much appreciated.
The curb appeal of this area in front of our home has improved at least 1000%! We have no reservations about using Steve again. In fact, we are so impressed with Steve that we are considering having him do one or two more small landscaping projects when our time and budget permit.
"
