Customers say: Quick response

"Joe Felix of Perfect Patch was very professional. He visited the project twice in person; initially for the estimate and again before he started, to go over details. The popcorn removal, ceiling repairs and painting were completed while we were out of town. Coming home to smooth ceilings was an amazing treat! Ripples in the ceiling were gone! Edges were clean and evenly caulked! The painting was flawless. And the house was clean! This really was the perfect patch....thank you Joe and Abbey for treating our house like it was yours."

"We are very pleased with our exterior paint project completed by D &J Painting. The weather did not cooperate with us at first, but once we could start the crew was outstanding. Always on time, cleaned up the job site daily, very polite and professional. Our 1950s house went from boring white to an updated gray/green. Dailin helped me with my color choices, also. I would definitely use this company again. You won’t be disappointed."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in King, NC

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
