"Steven and Derik replaced a large existing wood deck with composite lumber. Also added pebbles under deck and replaced lattice around the deck. The work involved a significent challenge in lifting and decking under an existing outdoor kitchen. York River Outdoors did an excellant job. Their craftsmanship was better than most other contractors and their work ethic was outstanding. They maintained excellant communication and completed the job in a fast and efficient manner. They exceeded all expectations and I would recommend them for any outdoor improvement."

Small jobs welcome

"We recently hired JM Concrete LLC to work on our patio, and we were thoroughly impressed with their professionalism and efficiency. From the very beginning, they were prompt in responding to our inquiry, setting a positive tone for the entire project. They took extra care to protect our lawn during the construction by using boards, which demonstrated their attention to detail and respect for our property. The work was completed on time, and we found their pricing to be fair and transparent. We highly recommend JM Concrete LLC for anyone looking for quality and reliable service at a reasonable price.â"

"I am happy to write that my experience with Cleanstone Construction was absolutely wonderful. Wes and his team were very kind, professional and committed to doing a great, clean job. They worked to add new stone pavers at the end of our backyard pathway and beautifully matched the pavers to what we have on the other parts of the pathway. We could not be happier with the end result and are looking forward to working with them on a patio project later this spring."

"Tyrone Adiches impressed me from the moment I shook his hand. From the get-go, he was courteous, professional, respectful of our property and person, and timely. While he was not the lowest estimate for our Project, he explained everything his crew would do. We had a schedule in mind, and he was able to meet (even exceed) it. All communications were returned within 24 hours, whether via phone, text, or email. Chatting with members of his crew, I discovered their commitment to their craft and delivering me a well-done driveway. Everytime I thought something needed to be addressed, without even mentioning it, Tyrone's crew addressed it to my satisfaction (and that may be an understatement). The original time estimate was 1 week, but the grating, leveling, and pour was completed in less than 48 hours. We had rain the night the pour completed, but the day after that, Tyrone & Crew returned to finish up some minor details and complete the job. I place a lot of faith in the vibe I get from another person when I first meet them, and Tyrone's handshake and "look you in the eye" mentality ranked him high in my book. I did my online research, too, checking the Richmond BBB, too. Angie's List, Home Advisor, and the BBB all had the highest ratings listed. I heartily recommend Adiches Construction for your next concrete/masonry project!"

"Was there on time in the am. Dumped the wood on the driveway (moved the basketball hoop so it wouldn't be hit). All in all they were in and out quickly and very professional. Haven't used the wood as of yet- have a supply from last year. But the wood seems like it will burn good- very dry. <br />"

"I wasn't thrilled with the end result.  I think they laid the asphalt when it was too cool.  Granted my driveway is an unusual shape and more difficult to pave.  Mr. Worden was easy to work with. <br /> <br /> June 2014 update:  Bill Worden provided a free seal coating on my driveway to compensate for the lackluster paving job.  The seal coat looks great, and I appreciate it.  Was a nice customer service gesture.  I would do business with them again.  Moral of the story is to lay asphalt during the warmer months, and hopefully they start paving in the morning while the asphalt is still hot.  If you are the second job of the day and they show up in the afternoon the asphalt may be cooler and may not go down as well.  Overall I had a good customer experience."

"Styer was responsive and helpful. They found what we wanted in December and made good suggestions concerning our requests. The install team did an excellent job. I'd use them again. Price might seem a little high but everything is still alive and doing well and of course it's guaranteed. <br />"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in King William, VA

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
