One of the projects that Spring Sweeps is currently involved in is a single story home in Humble where many holes in the existing "roof" can be seen through the attic. This requires tearing off 3800 sqft of 3 tab shingle that was installed over 3800 sqft of wood shingle. Then 3800 sqft of deteriorated decking will be removed and redecked with 1/2" CDX plywood and new felt. Next, new ridge vents and jacks, and a new drip edge will be installed. Finally a new 20 year 3 tab shingle will be installed as well.\n\nWe just completed retrofitting a home in southwest Houston with a ridge vent that not only will make an immediate impact on the home's energy costs, reducing energy consumption by up to $75.00 per month, but also resolved a leak that was originating beneath the whirlybird vent and accumulating on the newly installed hard wood floors. This was a very simple project, taking less than 4 hours. It involved removal of the existing vent and replacing the small area of decking it penetrated, cutting the ridge vent, refelt and color matching new dimentional shingles with the rest of the home. It was very inexpensive and will pay for itself in a very short time.\n\nThis is in addition to repairing homes that were damaged by the recent hail storms, repairing flashing failures, chimney cleanings and inspections, cap installations, bird removals and odor elimination that we take care of everyday. \n\nWe take pride in the full service we provide every customer on every project, small or large. \n\n24 hour emergency cover up service is available to minimize and contain damage. \n\nOur experience and attention to detail in the roofing and the chimney maintenance and repair industries spans many years. \n\nWe service and sell gas logs. \n\nWe also provide second opinions and perform non biased final repair inspections on work completed by others. \n\nOne of the most important cornerstones of our business is our ability to educate and communicate with our customers as well as be an advocate for the consumer. \n\nWe live in the communities we serve and look forward to serving your needs today and for many years to come. We also have an extended service area to service outerlying areas.\n\nSpring Sweeps is an active member of the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas, and doesn't, and never has had, issues with the BBB. Crews are subject to random drug testing and background checks.

FAQs for pre fabricated fireplace unit installation projects in Kingwood, TX

Cleaning your gas fireplace insert is essential for efficient operation and safety. Gas fireplaces must be cleaned every six months to eliminate soot buildup and maintain clear viewing surfaces. The cleaning process involves thoroughly wiping the glass, brushing and inspecting the logs, and vacuuming the entire firebox. Consistent maintenance preserves both performance and appearance while extending the life of your appliance.

Determining if your fireplace is gas-powered is straightforward. A gas fireplace displays a visible vent that routes exhaust directly outside and is connected by dedicated gas lines rather than a wood storage area. In addition, gas models will feature distinct burners and igniters while lacking the residue or log storage found in wood-burning setups. Recognizing these characteristics assists in proper maintenance and ensures that safety protocols are observed.
