"Jeremy and Mary Ann promised me that the work they would deliver on my brand-new kitchen would be fast and of high quality. They exceeded my expectations for both. In mid-September I called Mary Ann with a tight timeline -- I wanted all work done with a usable new kitchen by Thanksgiving. After an initial walk-through and some material selection, Jeremy was ready to go to work on demo at the beginning of October and, as promised, had a fully-functional new kitchen ready by Thanksgiving in mid-November, complete with new cabinets, floors, backsplash, and appliances. In terms of design, Mary Ann was very responsive and helpful in getting cabinets, tile, and counter tops selected. I knew what I wanted and preferred to drive the selection of materials myself, but Mary Ann was great to bounce ideas off of and offer a second set of eyes to make sure the entire design was cohesive. Mary Ann and Jeremy only work with high-quality suppliers for items like cabinets, tile, and plumbing, which made me feel confident that the final product would also be high quality. In terms of build-out, Jeremy worked effectively despite some tricky logistics. I am on the first floor of a condo building that has strict HOA rules about remodeling work and security. Jeremy put extra care to ensure that he worked within the bounds of the HOA rules while also having a good regard for the cleanliness and security of my condo (not something you can say for most contractors). In terms of quality -- Jeremy does stunning work. Whether it was re-framing my ceiling soffit or installing the new cooktop, he didn't miss a detail. I'm a very detail-oriented person and notice things like the cooktop not being sealed or the wall not being exactly squared off, and I was impressed by the craftsmanship with which Jeremy worked. The final product is a kitchen that's as functional and reliable as it is beautiful. If I had one critique, it would be that after the majority of the work was done for Thanksgiving, things slowed down a lot. It took until the end of January to have my keys back in hand and everything settled, but I can't blame Jeremy or Mary Ann for that -- they were relying on a contractor to do the electrical work, and the electrician wasn't very cooperative. Jeremy made an extra effort to have the kitchen be usable and appear complete from Thanksgiving onward, despite lacking a few finishing touches. Seattle Paint & Design also isn't the cheapest option out there, but they bill honestly and fairly. Mary Ann and Jeremy provided a good estimate before the project began, and Jeremy bills per hour of work then shares his time table with you on the bill. Jeremy also sends the bills for materials and contracted work directly to you so that you know he's not tacking on extra fees. I personally am glad to pay a bit more to have the quality and responsiveness you get with Seattle Paint & Design versus what I'm used to with most contractors out there. All-in-all, I had a wonderful experience working with Seattle Paint and Design and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to do a kitchen remodel. I look forward to the opportunity to work with them again myself sometime down the road."
