His experience in design suggested minor adjustment of my idea/drawings but willing to landscape any way of my preferences. Hutch came by every day to supervise progress of our landscaping. Our front and backyards were transformed from weed fields into beautiful landscaping. Removed weeds and unwanted plants, prepped surface, laid weed barrier and installed Artificial turf in backyard, laid pavers and stone walkway. Transformed front yard into rock riverbed surrounded by plants accented with boulders, and installing drip system. Planted border shrubs and a rose garden. Lined walkway and rose garden with pavers matching our flagstone. Our sewer line needed realignment which Hutch arranged to be repaired. Other company estimate quotes were either vague, didn’t itemize, or way over priced. "Our backyard was in need of a redo: We struggled to grow grass, and we wanted a space that would accommodate a trampoline and a small garden, as well as a dining table and sitting area, but still feel green and lush. After meeting with a few landscapers who suggested we get rid of the trampoline, rip up our existing brick patio and put pavers everywhere, we met Alisa from Motti's team. As a landscape designer, she really listened to what we wanted, and had great ideas for how to incorporate it all, as well as suggestions for garden planters and furniture. A week after our meeting, we got detailed plans that showed us just what the yard would look like, as well as what plants would look and work best. We then worked with Motti to tweak the plans, finalize the budget, and pick out materials, etc., and we were able to schedule the project within a few weeks time. Once the job started, Motti's team of workers were professional and efficient, and Motti stopped by daily to check the progress. Our backyard is now a true extension of our living space, and it's welcoming to kids and adults. A great big thanks to Motti and his team!"

"I waited to put up a review for Pacific Outdoor Living until I could give a full story. Our goal was to fix up our backyard which had never been 'scaped before. We had POL put in a patio of pavers with a grill placed and landscape the entire backyard. We also had an in ground water fountain set up. The job went as planned on time. The different crews were extremely polite and respectful. Very professional. The job turned out beautifully but there were some issues, which thankfully POL has been willing to address. To start, they are a solid pavers company. That is their absolute strength. They know what they are talking about here. The patio and grill are awesome. We had it set with electrical wiring for both an outdoor fridge and a countertop outlet. We also had them run conduit over to a spot where we later installed a jacuzzi. They did a fantastic job. We hired them to also do the landscaping and as we learned, while they do this well, it is not their 1st expertise. They provide this in order to do complete jobs. I suspect there is always going to be loss of some vegetation after installation. This is probably the one thing you can't guarantee but there are other companies we got estimates from where landscaping was clearly their primary expertise. Nevertheless, POL has always owned anything that didn't go perfectly. The landscaping looked great but some of the sod and some of the water resistant plants didn't survive. They replaced whatever needed to be replaced. Even after the summer heat wave and drought where we were limited to watering the lawn to twice a week and had grass die. They listened to my issues which they agreed were not my fault. They owned up to the fact that the sprinkler zones were not perfectly laid out. More than a year later, they came out and just added an additional zone for the lawn, replaced some of the ground cover. In addition, the outlet on our new grill/counter shorted out with the heavy rains this winter as somehow water managed to seep under the covered outlets; they replaced this as well. It would have been more ideal if everything turned out perfectly from the beginning but with these projects, one has to assume there will be some issues. What you want is a company that stands by its work and will not balk at fixing things. POL owned it all and has impressed me by doing so. I am so impressed that I am buying a new batch of mulch from them. I would hire them again even with the landscaping issues because they did not walk away from the problems even after the initial three month warranty. They are a class act."

"We are thrilled by the results! Mike and his crew took out 10 boxes of dirt from a hill in our back yard all manually! They then installed a 50 x 4ft retaining wall (fully permitted) on the hill. After that poured a 60 x 10 concrete deck and steps to our new upper deck that now overlooks the pool. They then covered the new wall and existing lower wall with new custom colored stucco. "I am so grateful to Mike. I had a lot of erosion on my hillside from the winter rains. He came out right away. He has been in the business forever so he has seen it all. I interviewed a few people but one can tell, after spending time with him, that he is very competent and experienced on hillside maintenance. Mike is very straightforward. He does exactly what he says he is going to do and he does it well! There were a few things that had to be tweaked and he was responsive and prompt in fixing them. I will be hiring him for all future projects on my house. He is the best!"
