"G and his team are very hard workers and do an excellent job. This is the 4th time I've hired him to do concrete work. First job was an RV pad 30'x 14'. Second job was very nicely done color stamped sidewalk in front of the house. Liked that so much we had him come back and do another patio in the back yard. This time we had him tear out old Asphalt and put in a new concrete double car driveway. Super nicely done and he is very reasonably priced. The team cleaned up the area when completed. 5 star work for sure, would recommend him to anyone looking for a great deal for cement work and getting it done right the first time. Kim and Jackie"

"We hired Patrick's Masonry and Concrete to remove our old driveway and install a new driveway. The entire experience was excellent from start to finish. The crew was professional, showed up on time and communicated clearly throughout the project. The owner was present each day giving us added confidence in the quality of the work. The project took 4 days and also included masonry work on a brick pathway which turned out beautifully. I'm very careful about work done on our house since it's on the National Registry for Historic Homes and they exceeded expectations. The finished driveway looks fantastic-smooth, properly graded and built to last. You can really see the quality in their workmanship. The pricing was fair and clearly explained and the finished work was absolutely worth every dollar. It's not always easy to find contractors that follow through like this. I would definitely hire them again and recommend highly for any concrete or masonry work."

"Their work was top notch! We first had them replace a bad garage apron and a disintegrating exterior concrete flat pad. Both had been poured incorrectly leading to crumbling. In addition, rain water was puddling in the garage from the apron being slightly higher than the garage floor. HQC identified these issues and replaced both. This included reinstalling chain link fence down one side of the pad. Their teamwork and efficiency is most impressive! The new pours are beautiful and the garage floor is now dry, even during April's record rainfall. Our 2nd HQC project was installing Hardie Plank on an oversized detached garage and a shop to match our house. Again, their attention to detail, communication skills, team efficiency and workmanship are superb. Would we hire them again, absolutely. In fact, we have just hired them to paint the exteriors of our house and 3 outbuildings."

"TOA concrete performed exceptional work for me. Tasi was on the ball with everything involving the quote for my driveway removal to installing and finishing my driveway. I selected him after inquiring about his bid and then asking him to meet me at my house after his bid so that I could evaluate him personally and determine if he would do what I was expecting to receive for the price. After personally visiting with him for about a half hour I determined that he was reputable and would perform the work that I expected. I was not disappointed. The work performed was above my expectations and the price was very fair. If you have any questions about his work, drive by and look at my driveway and I'm sure you will be impressed."

"My husband and I were very pleased with the outcome of our new beautiful 40-yard concrete driveway. Every guy who came to work on it was not only a hard workers, but very personable, and kind. Mani was the sweetest guy who was on time and had communicated with us on his timeline. Mani also was willing to do a little extra when we made a design change. We will use him again, and will 100% recommend him to anyone who needs concrete work done. Thanks Dateline. Oregon City."

Customers say: Quality work

"We had our driveway and front porch done in February so it took a little longer because we had to wait for several days in a row to be in the high 30's so they could pour the concrete. Also, we are just going to be driving on it starting today. We wanted to wait longer to give the driveway time to cure. It takes longer when the weather is cooler but a slower cure is better. We went with the earlier date because we could get a discount. Since we are retired the timeline wasn't a problem for us. Ben is very nice."

"They did a great job installing a new driveway. I had them stamp the concrete which looks fancy. Ve and his crew were great with keeping me informed through the whole project. All of the workers were very good at there job and they worked late to get the job finished. I heard about this company from a friend of mine that had them put in her driveway."

FAQs for concrete driveways & floors installation projects in Lake Oswego, OR

Whether terrazzo is better than porcelain or ceramic tiles for a kitchen or bathroom floor depends on your design preference. Terrazzo can last a long time, but so can a properly installed ceramic tile floor. According to the National Association of Home Builders, the lifespan of a ceramic tile floor is 75 to 100 years, similar to terrazzo.

You should clean terrazzo floors like you would marble, even if there’s no marble in the aggregate. Avoid abrasive cleaners that can scratch the polished surface, and steer clear of acidic cleaners like vinegar, which can damage the surface. Instead, use plain water or a neutral cleaner to mop the floor. Then, use a wet vac or squeegee to remove the dirty water. Regular buffing with a soft cloth can help you maintain the shine.

Terrazzo is made by mixing an aggregate like glass or stone with a binder like cement or epoxy. The mix is made and poured into the prepared space you designate. Alternatively, you can purchase prefabricated terrazzo tiles, which consist of similar materials. They’re poured into a mold and cured before installation.

You can add radiant heating under a terrazzo floor, which is an excellent way to combat the naturally cold surface of terrazzo floors. Installing radiant heating costs $1,653 to $6,656. You'll want to install the heating elements under the thin-set epoxy because the layer is thin enough for the warmth to conduct through the floor.

Making your own terrazzo can be a tricky DIY project. The exact mix takes a blend of art and skill to create and requires the expertise of a terrazzo pro. The wrong blend could crack, peel, or break easily, requiring expensive repairs. Finishing and polishing the floor also requires previous experience to achieve a professional appearance. Expect to pay between $200 and $2,500 for the cost of restoring and polishing floors.

Terrazzo flooring is eco-friendly because it is crafted using recycled materials such as glass, marble, and polished metal, and its epoxy binder emits no VOCs once cured. This sustainable manufacturing approach minimizes waste and supports green building practices. Homeowners gain an attractive flooring option, contributing to healthier indoor air quality and environmental conservation.
