"Abel came to quote the job. He was the first guy I saw for my two porches. He quoted me a price after measuring and figuring. I was initially stunned, but he explained the reasons (the price of materials and gas and labor has hit the handyman business like everything else). Abel is a personable fellow. I didn't need to see anyone else. Our porches were in sore need of repair. It was getting to a place that we were worried that someone might go through the decking and be injured. I didn't need fancy. I needed SOLID. Abel came back with Tom and they did a great job on my front porch. Neighbors are jealous. The postman made positive comments. It looks great and I could park my car on it. It's EXACTLY what we needed. Abel explained as they went what they were doing and why they were doing it that way. Abel and Tom even gave me pointers for tackling projects I intended to do myself. If you want a communicative contractor, who doesn't leave you in the dark. Abel and his team of guys are the guys you want."

"If you are looking for an honest, reliable deck and rail company who has knowledgeable and professional ownership... run - don't walk, to call Corey and Paula at NC Deck & Railing. I had five different companies come out to quote us on replanking an existing, large wood deck in TimberTech composite decking, putting on new railing, installing a wrap around our elevated deck, and screening in the porch area. Corey was the ONLY person who looked at the existing deck and immediately saw and knew several structural things that needed shoring up to ensure our investment would be well supported and he saved us a lot of money by showing us colors in the TimberTech line that were very similar to the ones we originally liked. The crew (Brian and Juan) were great, gave attention to a lot of detailed work, and Corey was regularly present to see the progress. If I could give 10 stars, I would and it would be well-deserved. "Great experience from beginning to end on new deck replacement install. The quote provided was professional and very thorough. They called prior to installation with updates and their arrival plans. We asked for some changes, and again professional change orders were made, keeping all questions and unknowns out of the project. The installers were great, efficient and friendly. Did assume anything and ask questions for our opinions. The were missing some small covers for the composite boards at the screws. Obtained them and came back to install them within two days! Again, can't say enough great things about our experience! They used the original white railing we installed years ago, and made it sturdier than it was before.... Wonderful work."
