"As a realtor, I found Rich from Expedient Environmental Solutions while searching for a client who needed mold remediation. He and his crew did an excellent job at a fair price. They finished on time and left the home clean. So, when I was looking personally to have basement waterproofing (interior french drains and sump pump) along with radon mitigation, I received 3 quotes, of which theirs was the most comprehensive plan, and again not the highest quote overall. They finished the work ahead of schedule by bringing four workers the second day, were respectful throughout and left the area reasonably clean. I'm confident that my days (and nights!) with the shopvac and flooded basement are finally over, and grateful they stand behind their work for a full year. Good contractors are hard to find. "The initial visit was on schedule and completed in a shorter time than I expected.  However, the $69 price (while advertised to only cover a certain number of vents and returns with additional charges) went to $810.  I was also offered an additional product which I felt was worth it (the UV light) at an additional cost so the complete total was $1309.  This was MUCH more than I anticipated and when I pressed, the price dropped to $699 which I thought was a great deal since the work also came with a warranty of a flat fee the next time they came back for maintenance in 2 years and was transferable to the next owner if I ever sold the house.  So we went ahead and I was very pleased.  At the end of the work, I was told that they liked to come back and check on things after a week and I was going to be home so it worked out well.  I never got that call for the follow up.  What I did get was a phone call telling me that the part they had ordered had taken longer to come in than originally anticipated and it was now available for installation.  WHAT? "So, you're telling me that a product I paid for and thought was installed a week ago was never installed?" This was the first hurdle.  So I set up an appointment for their return and went to look around my basement for evidence of work that had not been completed or openings on my furnace.  What I found was that a sweatshirt had been left behind and there were big chunks of metal on the floor. 
When the second team came to install the UV light, I followed them to the basement to make sure what I paid for was installed.  Comments were made that I had one of the cleanest basements that had been seen and he was looking around my basement, honestly, in a way that made me feel like he was casing the house to get back in later.
Once the work began I returned upstairs.  I was then informed that the part that had been ordered was incorrect and they had to run out to a local store to get the correct one. (Why this was not done on the original visit, I will never know) They returned to say that since it was a holiday (Martin Luther King Jr Day) the store was closed and they would have to come back again.  (Really? you didn't call before you drove there?)
We once again rescheduled for a Saturday since I was not taking any more time off work and they came and installed the missing part.
I raised my service concerns through Angie's List email and my chagrin that they were now offering the same deal but for $169 and unlimited ducts and was provided with a callback from their dispatcher that indicated "offers cannot be combined" which I understand but my bigger issue was with the level of service (and I use that word loosely).  She said that she would see what she could do and I have never heard back.
I gave management a chance to speak with me about this situation before I posted an honest review and they have never contacted me.  It makes me wonder if my service contract will even be honored.
So my advice would be if you contract them, make sure you know exactly what you are getting, how much it will cost, watch to ensure that it is actually completed and if you don't like the price...just ask for something else.  I was willing to pay much more than they offered but it's interesting that my hesitation dropped the price almost in half.

"The technician did an excellent job. It did take a while to get the repair finished, but that was due to Bertazzoni delivering the parts. I have had multiple problems with this particular appliance. My range now works better than it did when new, but I have a feeling that even if I have continuing problems with it, American Home Shield will just repair rather than replace due to the cost of the range. By the way, I'm not exactly sure of the date of the repair."

"Emergency clean up they performed turned out great! Had a water backup through the toilet in my finished basement late in the evening. KPM was easily reachable by phone and even helped us find a plumber to remedy the issue. Plumber and KPM came out to my house shortly after I made the calls and started the work right away. They were very thorough in the cleanup and disinfection. Tested drywall for any water absorption and removed only what was necessary. All contaminated material was removed and area was dehumidified after cleaning. They were professional and courteous throughout and worked well with the insurance adjuster as well."

"When my garage wall buckled because of eater damage, Kevin was there right away. They removed the damaged wall and excavated they problem area installed new gutters and resolved our water issue. They rebuilt the concrete foundation and replaced the wall to match what we had. They stained the wood walls and poured a new garage floor as the old floor was cracked. Kevin sent photos and called us often as we live 250 miles away. We trusted him to do the job properly and he did!"

When everything was dried up and ready to go, they sprayed a disinfectant or mildew protectant down in the cellar to eliminate the smell and made sure that the mildew was completely gone.  They were careful that I didn't stay there for a few hours so that I wouldn't breathe the fumes. (My husband was still out of town so it was just me.) Of course before they started to repair our walls and ceilings they installed new and better pipes for this old house with shut offs that we can easily get to if we ever encounter another problem. They worked extensively on the pipes. When they replaced or fixed the pipes that had burst, they turned on the water and discovered that it popped 3 or 4 other leaks in our old and worn out pipes. They had to replace all of them and rebuild 3 sides to a deteriorating wall in the cellar that was affected by the water gushing from the laundry room and could possibly cave in if it was left as it was.  The old sewer cast iron pipes were in unbelievably bad condition.  They needed to be fixed for sure. The guys worked way into the night to fix them.  They were very kind and considerate to me as they put it all back in temporary working order all along the way so that I wouldn't be left without the plumbing or water for too long a time at once.  I was so grateful for that and to get those awful deteriorating pipes fixed. They did a tremendous amount of backbreaking work in this old house. After the pipes were securely fixed and in good working order, they started in on putting my finished cellar back together. First they did the walls that needed new sheetrock and molding and a new coat of paint ( they look great) since the wallpaper that I had up there had gotten wet on the bottom. My stained ceilings were painted and leveled off too. Look great!   Also the rug was destroyed so we decided to put down a durable tile on the floor.  I am so pleased with how it looks.  They did it all very quickly and were done with the tile within 2 or 3 days. After it was all completely done, they also painted my stairs that were a mess by the time all of that up and down wear and tear on it was over. They also managed to get a small second bathroom back in working order. It hadn't worked right for years and I never thought it would ever work again, but they did it. They also hauled out a major amount of things that we needed to get rid of and brought it to the dump for us. Lots of work with just that.    It all looks great and I am very pleased with the work that they did. They are very prompt and were here when they said they were going to be here, they were very helpful to me and did some extra things that they didn't really have to do, they made sure that they did exactly what we wanted and gave us their advice as to what they thought would be best when we had no clue.  They are very kind and courteous and very trustworthy.  That right there means a lot to me. My furnace went off 2 or 3 times while they were working on everything and they were able to get it back on until our furnace repairman got there to replace some parts that got wet.   They still have to come back and rebuild my laundry room but since it was covered in ice from a very difficult winter, they couldn't get started on it until the temperatures rise a bit.  They need to replace the door that got warped but it is jammed up with ice right now.  I am confident that they will do as nice a job as they did downstairs. I probably forgot some of the things that they did but I think I covered the major things that were done.  Great guys, great work, great service.  Thank you Remod.
