"Wow what a great moving experience (one of the best all time... I've never worked with such a professional moving company). Malik was a stellar communicator from start to finish. He sent an email with the quote (and a two-page PDF of moving tips!) well ahead of time, confirmed the date and time via text and made sure we had each other's phone #s on the day of the move. On moving day (which was the 4th of July), they showed up right on time and moved everything quickly, efficiently and carefully. There was no damage to anything. I would absolutely recommend this company. Double thumbs up. We will definitely use them again. They turned what could have been a huge hassle into quite a pleasant experience. Thank you!!!"

"I had a two bedroom two bath apartment in Pentagon City, VA. The moved started at 9am on a Monday. I reserved the elevator for 4 hours. I requested three movers and I believe it would take no longer than five hours total. However, it took the movers 7 hours to load the truck. Then another 5 hours to unload the truck. So my five hour quote ballooned to $2,400 to move 2 miles away. I learned to never accept a hourly rate and only do flat rates. Also, I would never do business with this company. They even damaged the wall in my new place. The manager that came to help unload because of the time said he would repair the damage with no cost to me. Laughable. After he finished, I had to get a professional to fix it because it was a hatchet job."

"I had a really great experience with Metropolitan Moving & Storage. Kathleen answered all my questions ahead of time and I felt very well prepared for my move. The movers were very fast and professional—they were probably only in my old place for an hour and my new place for an hour too, and that was with packing. They fit their truck in the parking spot even though a car was in my permitted area. They also kindly moved an outdoor couch that was already in the new place to a different spot. The amount I paid was much less than I was quoted, I think because I'd done a good amount of work beforehand, but that was a pleasant surprise. Nothing was damaged or missing.
