"After Joe left, I had a hard time locking & unlocking the door; it took 2 hands. I noticed uneven areas and hired another man to inspect the door side lights. After pulling off the molding we could see that waterproof flashing tape was not used and we agreed to remove the door to inspect it thoroughly. Findings: - The threshold was not leveled properly affecting the alignment. -Shims were used but in the wrong places and no shims were used at the top. -No weatherproof flashing tape was used or foam insulation to seal gaps.. Joe put back the old insulation back which my new installer said had mold and should not have been used. -The latch lock was not routed properly, the dead bolt was difficult to use because of the alignment. I had to push on the door to close it. -The caulking on the outside was very noticeably sloppy. I did not bother to contact Joe because I lost confidence in his work ethics and skill. My door now is properly insulated and opens, closes and locks easily."
