"REVIEW UPDATED (read to the bottom): Ashley at Knockout knocked on my door a few weeks after the hailstorm in Farmington. So far, she has been awesome to work with. She promised a no-hassle experience, and has delivered. Ashley showed me the damage to my roof and explained how to file an insurance claim. Once I filed the claim, she promised to work directly with the insurer to make sure everything was covered. On the day the insurance adjuster came to inspect my house, I had a conflict at work and couldn't be there. Ashley came in my place (as she promised) walked through the inspection with the adjuster, and made sure every little ding and dent was covered and accounted for. Knockout works off the insurance company's claim and if something needs to be added along the way, they work directly with the insurance company to cover it so you don't get stuck with the difference (other than your deductible). So far, the claim and estimating process has exceeded my expectations. I'll update this review once my new roof is on the house. Here's the update: BEWARE!!!! Working with Knockout was a terrible experience that I truly regret. First, don't believe the reviews you read. When I initially signed up with this company after a wind storm, they knocked a few hundred dollars off the price if I would leave a positive Google review. In other words, positive reviews you see are probably fake. What I wrote above was accurate at the time and the sign-up experience truly was good. Unfortunately, it was full of lies. Two years later, my claim is finally finished. Contrary to what Knockout represented during the sign-up process, they do NOT work off the insurance approval and they do NOT do all the negotiating with your insurance on your behalf. If you hire Knockout, prepare to do that yourself. In my case, insurance approved a very clear scope of work for Knockout. Knockout then proceeded to do whatever work they wanted, and billed about $10,000 extra to insurance, which insurance promptly rejected. For the next 18 months, I spent hours and hours going back and forth between Knockout and insurance trying to get things resolved. It was a nightmare. I hired this company to avoid all that, and it was an outright lie. When I asked for a discount based on all the hours and work I put in doing THEIR JOB, they threatened to sue me and lien my house. Here's a tip: check court records before you hire Knockout. In the last three years, they've been involved in nearly 20 lawsuits. Along with their owner, Jared Garn, they've been sued for fraud, for shoddy work, for putting illegal liens on customers' houses, for failing to pay their employees, for filing frivolous lawsuits, and in one case for taking hundreds of thousands of dollars of insurance money from an elderly person an never fixing their house. My advice: STAY AWAY FROM KNOCKOUT ROOFING AND JARED GARN. You will regret it."

"VIP Roofing gave us what sounded like a reasonable estimate (no senior discount was offered) so we hired them to replace our very small deck. They did the work and it looked fine, and we were assured that the deck would slope slightly away from the house so that water would drain off when it rained. We paid in full $2350.00. The first rain - water pooled against the house, which was one of the problems they were supposed to solve. I have called Travis repeatedly and been promised that he would fix it. After about 4 calls and several months, he finally came, put a level on the deck, and agreed that the slope was wrong. He said someone would be out to fix it by Friday of that week. It has been about another month, and no one has come. My disabled husband and I will never be able to go out the back door, since it is wet, and will freeze overnight. The deck does not leak, but is more of a problem than ever."
