"We wanted to replace our 30 year old wood deck with a composite deck so we met and received quotes from multiple contractors, but ultimately I decided to go with M&L Pro Landscaping & Construction. When we met with the owner, Leo, we felt he was honest, knowledgeable, friendly, and very importantly, he gave us the best price of all the people we met based on the size, material, and brand of our choice. Initially, we only wanted to do the deck, but they were so good that we decided to ask them to replace our patio too. They were so good with deck and patio that we ended up asking them to fix our retaining wall too. Leo and his team were professional, reliable, courteous, and very hard working. We cannot say enough good things about them. We recommend M&L Pro to our friends, families, and colleagues at work. We will be asking Leo and his team to come back soon to do our driveway when the time is right. Thank you so much Leo and team for all the wonderful work you have done for our family!!"

"We had our rather long driveway prepped, rip rap installed, and entire thing paved by New England ABC. The total project was three full days worth of work. Jason and his crew are hard workers! Very prompt when arriving at the job site and stayed until about 530 working their tails off. No wasted time. Very knowledgeable and provide a high quality product. The quote was spot on to final price and it was impressive how everything was itemized so we knew exactly what we were paying for. The only complaint is we did not agree on a firm **finish by** date and the paving kept getting pushed due to other projects getting in the way (they are very busy because they do such a great job!) but we were not on any restrictive time table so we could wait- we were just so excited to see the final product and are SO happy with how it turned out."

"I have had three major projects done by Marc Michaud of Maine Coast Masonry: creating a patio out of an emptied pool, while maintaining its grand piano style; removing and replacing walkways from the road and driveway, up to the two porches, including replacing a set of steps, plus installing a hand rail; removing and replacing my driveway and parking spots, with drainage for rain. All of Marcâ s work is top quality and beautiful. His suggestions for styles, colors and materials are appropriate for the character of my home and my tastes. Marc and his workers are professional, efficient and friendly. The yard is straightened up at the end of each day, so I never feel like Iâ m living in a work zone. I have no hesitation in recommending Marc and Maine Coast Masonry."

"Retaining Wall/Walkway- Ben was on time to look at the project and answered any questions or concerns I had. Ben and his crew showed up on the day scheduled and not stop, these men work hard. Very, very happy with the finished product. Ben is very personable and I would hire him again in a heartbeat! Great Job Tracy L. Herbert."

"I highly recommend MHT for paving and landscaping. Paul Mercier is a true professional who really knows his business, and does an exceptional job at a rate that is not only comparable but very reasonable for the results you get. We hired Paul Mercier in the spring of 2015 to pave over our 20-year-old 440-foot driveway, which has two switchbacks and winds its way up a ledge. When the driveway was first laid in 1995, it was not done properly with enough of a foundation. Over the years we did various patch repairs, which never lasted for long. When we found Paul, we were overjoyed to have someone who knew what he was doing, and actually did it! Paul, along with his great crew, gave us a REAL driveway, with a 2-3” base, which has lasted for 3.5 years WITHOUT ANY CRACKS OR DAMAGE due to frost heaves since putting it in. This past September of 2018, we invited him back to seal coat the driveway, as well as shore up the edges with 3-4” stones to prevent washout on the sides of the driveway. He suggested adding some crushed gravel to one side of the driveway to create extra parking areas for our in-home business, which we proceeded to do and are very happy with. He also laid down some crushed gravel to prepare a patio under our deck for future installation. Paul is very thorough and detail-oriented, and will make suggestions based on your needs, and what will work for the long run as well as tell you what won’t. I recommend him HIGHLY for your next paving/landscaping project!"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Lebanon, ME

Installing interlocking pavers takes between four and 10 days, depending on the project's size and complexity. The process involves careful excavation, precise leveling, and building a stable base before placing the pavers. Larger projects or challenging site conditions may require more time to ensure a durable and attractive result that stands the test of time.

It's not recommended to place pavers directly on dirt. For the best results, you'll need to lay a foundation of gravel or sand to create a leveled and compacted base. This ensures proper drainage below the pavers, preventing erosion and shifting over time. An uneven or unstable base can cause the pavers to move or settle improperly, affecting the appearance and longevity of your installation.

Installing interlocking pavers yourself involves rigorous preparation and careful execution. This DIY approach requires excavation, precise leveling, and building a proper base using gravel or sand to ensure stability. The project demands at least two to three full days of intensive manual work and the use of specialized tools. Alternatively, hire a paver installer for professional results.

Concrete stone and clay brick pavers are the top choices for homeowners. They offer robust performance and an attractive finish that elevates outdoor living areas. These materials are engineered for superior durability and design flexibility, ensuring long-term strength and style. Selecting the right paver type maximizes the overall appeal and functionality of your space while meeting all design and performance standards.
