"When they did the edges, I didn’t want them to put the bricks there. I wanted them to put a trench to separate where the grass started and the flower bed. I asked them to do it because I wanted it to look more professional and not like something crazy I did that wasn’t straight. It looks very crooked like something I would have done. The front they did well. I told him and he came back out and let him off the hook. He acknowledgeable that he could have done a better job. They didn’t’ put the extensions on the down spout far enough. So now I need to re-dig and make them lower or add more top soil above. They didn’t do a professional job as I would have liked. They were supposed to spray and a couple of days later I noticed that none of the vegetation was dying. I called back and they acknowledge it and came back out. They were responsive.    I tried to use them again but they were not responsive."

The work included tree/stump/root removal, removing all existing front shrubs/bushes and replacing them with new bushes and ornamental trees, sodding the front and side yards, and re-landscaping all mulch beds. "When I emailed Pro Arbor, they contacted me by phone within a few hours and scheduled their arborist, Adam, to come the next business day. Adam arrived a few minutes early, which was wonderful, and looked carefully at each of our three large trees in the front yard. He then explained the issues with each tree and made suggestions for each one for now and for the future. He arranged to do the work two days later. Adam himself showed up with the crew right on time on the service day, and he introduced me to all of the crew members. The guys worked quickly and carefully, and when they were done, they showed me exactly what they'd done to each tree and what we should think about next time they come. When the invoice came, it didn't reflect a discount I'd purchased via Angie's list, but Alice fixed the problem within hours. Their emails, telephone calls, and in-person contacts were among the most professional I've ever encountered with home-services providers. "Redesign from grass to boulders and decorative plants: Ibi and crew came and removed all of the front yard plants, mostly grass and a few accent evergreens. It was a total overhaul. His staff spent 2 days removing plants in place plus roots and soil. Boulders came next. Watching his staff work was a pleasure. He was here every day to oversee that it was done to his requirements. It looked fabulous when completed. However, in a month we had a major problem - nutsedge. It did not happen immediately, but it was killed and removed by his staff. He also added some plants for ground cover and replaced one plant's loss. We experienced a few problems but like the professional he is, Ibi resolved each one as it occurred - lights, nutsedge, and dead plants. He replaced and addressed all of our problems. Definitely would use his company again."

"I have hired Tom Stokes to remove 3 mature trees and grind down its stumps plus grind down two additional large stumps, to haul away logs and branches. His crew of about 7 arrived, as agreed, promptly at 9 am. They set out to protect the path for the Bobcat and other heavy-duty machines to drive over the grassy lawn to the back of the house. This has proven to be a very much appreciated precaution, as there was no damage done to the lawn. Tom and another man cutting the trees are both very skilled and knowledgeable in removing the limbs, tree trunks, and stumps in such a way that no damage to existing plants and shrubs would occur. The entire crew worked from 9 am till about 2 pm and a couple of men stayed a bit longer and finished the stump grinding. In the end, the site of work was properly cleaned up, and it was left looking better than it was before. I highly recommend Tom Stokes for any tree removal needs you might have. He offers a high-quality service at a very reasonable price. He is very accommodating in scheduling the work and he is punctual. The back and forth communication is open and satisfactory. He is insured and operates with good machinery and tools. Tom and his crew did an excellent job for me. I would hire him again in a snap."
