"I am having a truly unpleasant experience with 7th State Builders. I paid 14,450.00$ deposit in good faith. They were contracted to rebuild my deck, place a roof structure and screen on the deck. I trusted that they would complete the work. Instead, they took my money and one year later had not even started on the project. Not only did they fail to perform the agreed-upon services for the deck, but I was forced to hire an attorney to try and recover my deposit. Which I haven?t yet (over one year). Thus, creating unnecessary expenses to an already frustrating situation. I would strongly advise against using this company. "I hired Renaissance to re-tuckpoint my home in 2016. After only a few years, the mortar is failing miserably. in some places the mortar is 90% gone and the bricks are eroding. The work falls under a 10-yr warranty, but after I contacted them and David Hutton came to take a look, he has been very cagey with details and info on how the repair will proceed. He has ignored my repeated requests for details on how they will test the remaining mortar for compromise and when I requested a drawing showing the boundaries of the mortar that needs repair, he has only told me that they'll provide before and after pics. I have no faith whatsoever that this job will be properly repaired after all of this. Save yourself many headaches and lots of money and don't hire this company."
