"When I moved into my condominium 5 years ago, I knew the patio door and kitchen windows needed to be replaced, as they were fogged over. My sister-in-law's idea of painting the windows to look like stained glass held me over until now. In August of this year, I joined Angie's List specifically looking for someone to do the job from start to finish, at a reasonable price. Ironically, Jeremy called me because he had received my name from a lead generated source. With in a few days of speaking with Jeremy on the phone, he was at my house giving me an estimate and showing me the types of windows he would use. Since I live in a condo, the outside was a concern because it had to match or compliment the existing windows. I decided to have him do the job because he could do the job sooner than the other company I was considering. He is a brand new business and I believe in entrepreneurialism. The windows arrived in mid September so we set the installation date for a Monday but it was pouring down rain that day so we made it for the following Monday. The sub-contractors and Jeremy showed up right at 11:30 and the sub-contractors immediately got to work. They were out of my home by around 5:30. Jeremy did leave to check on some other jobs, and towards the end of the day, he returned to see how this job had gone. There was a small glitch during the installation. The new patio door was slightly larger than the old one so they had to make a run to the hardware store for a different size framing piece. It was time for a break anyhow, so they decided to get themselves some lunch too. Jeremy came back by before the guys, which he thought was odd. He then found out the trailer tire had blown out on the interstate. No one was injured. I noticed that the "toe lock" had not been installed, so Jeremy said he'd see if the guys still had it or if he needed to order one. He did order the toe lock and when it came in, he stopped by and within 10 min it was installed. I had questions about the door and window and Jeremy was more than happy to show me how they all worked. The wrap for the windows outside looked great...a perfect match."

"We didn’t use them. They estimated around $2500. Their bid was too high and so we went with another company that charged us about $1000. The people from JL Exteriors seemed professional and decent. Everything about them was good except for their bid. I am sure they would have been good. They seemed very thorough and detailed. It seemed like they wanted to do it right. I think they would have done a nicer job, but we would have ended up paying twice than what we wanted. They came right out when I called them. So their responsiveness was very good. If need be, then I would contact them again for a quote in the future."

"I thought the concrete patio was beyond repair, their salesperson told us they could level and seal it. We gave them the chance, there crew was very professional.and the job looked good when completed. This work was done a year ago and still looks good after a cold winter. Would hire them again."

"We spent about $60000 on their services. One of the reasons we chose to go with them was because, they’re affiliated with the three day kitchen and bathrooms. So they were able to come in and do our kitchen and both of our bathrooms in two weeks time frame. So we didn’t have to go through months and months over a construction project. The other company we used were almost as fast and far more professional and responsive than GoodeGuy was. We had 1800 sq. feet of our basement completely finished, and the other folks we used cleaned up, were easy to contact, and addressed any issues we had immediately. Working with GoodeGuy was our first remodeling experience, and I after working with another company, I would not use GoodeGuy again"
