"I just moved into a recently renovated home and couldn't power up a brand new dryer that had just been delivered that morning. The delivery guys said that I had two days to figure out if the problem was the outlet or was dryer was defective. If it was the dryer, they would pick it up and take it back and bring a replacement at no charge, but only if the dryer was defective. The only way to know was to hire an electrician.
